- Try to color in the directions that color goes in real life: Lines for hair, but thick and curvy, like hair actually is, or crisscrossed on clothing, but once again, thick, so no white shows through. For skin, try coloring in circles or doing whatever you can to make your art look as though it's all one solid color. Hope this helps!
