Despair does make seem black and white, doesn't it? Or does color not suit heartache? Either which way, the colorless contrast was the way to go. =]
I think this would be better titled as "Shattered Hearts".
The tree in the background is pretty badass too, winding up and never touching it. Not sure what I even think that's supposed to symbolize or if you even meant for it to show in your picture but it adds to the feel of the photo.
