The hand moulds were cast in alginate, into which concrete was poured in order to cast the hands.
The piece is reflective of how the earth documents our history within it's layers, and that the fragments contained within the earth had once been manipulated by our hand only to be reclaimed by the elements. - Date: 01/11/2014
