Prologue
"YOU HAVE BETRAYED ME EVE!!!!!"
A loud voice boomed from above. It came from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. It shook the ground and made the leaves tremble. The hares' scurried to there holes and the foxes sprinted to there dens. The sky was a sickening purple black color like a giant bruise and the feeling of vulnerability overtook Eve and her husband.
"I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING SO YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN COULD LIVE IN PEACE FOREVER AND I HAD ONLY ONE REQUEST. BUT YOU HAVE CURSED YOURSELF BY EATING THE FRUIT OF THE FORBIDDEN TREE AND YOU WILL PAY DEARLY!!!"
A constricting feeling wrapped itself menacingly around Eve's waist and she was lifted high in the air. Adam was facing the same fate a few feet away and the two were cast high above the Earth into a dreadful land called Defluo.
Eve glanced around and saw nothing but dry, caked soil and empty grey plains. Not a plant or animal could be detected and Eve knew that this land lived up to its name, it truly was a wasteland. She bent over in a painful way, like the curling leaves of a dying plant. She cried for days and lost faith in everything, not even Adam could be found. When she finally unfurled herself she looked down at her skin and saw that it had turned a strange black and turquoise color. Her jet black hair could hardly be distinguished from the alien skin. She knew that she was naked and rubbed the ashen soil on her body to cover her features.
" You are no longer Eve." said a voice.
Eve looked around for the source but saw none but herself in the reflection of her tears and listened to it.
" Your sons Cain and Abel will start the human race but you will be doomed to another fate."
"What am I to do? If I am not Eve anymore who am I?"
"You are the destiny of all the people who are and who are to come. You will give destinies to those who seek them but will have no destiny yourself."
At this a towering black stallion appeared. Its eyes were blood red and its hooves looked as if made from granite. Its lean figure blended in with the wasteland and it looked as if something from the worst nightmare.
" This is your mount. He is called Fatuma. He will aid you in your eternal task."
"Will my lord ever forgive me for my wrong doing?" cried Eve painfully.
“He is the god of second chances. He will forgive. But you must pay for your mistake."
Eve bowed her head and took on her new life.

The horse with the name of Fate thundered through the coming storm as Destiny rode on his sleek back. Her vision was obscured by the storm clouds and the orphanage below was hidden until Fatuma descended.
"Where is the child?"
Fatuma snorted as he turned his head toward the top most window of the small rundown brick building.
"Thanks pal."
Destiny patted Fatuma on the muzzle and floated towards the window. As she reached the grimy glass she held her breath and let herself slide through the window. A tingly feeling surged through her as she slipped quietly through. A soft snoring came from the far side of the room. Many children slept on small cots with patched quilts and century old teddy bears. Only one child lay awake.
"Is that her?" Eve wondered "It must be."
She glided over to the child and sat down on the bed next to her. The girl couldn't see her but sometimes she wished they could. The little girl held in her bony hands a torn and battered copy of Peter Pan: The Boy Who Never Grew Up.
"Take that Captain Hook!" cried the girl. A nun immediately hurried in to quiet her and tuck her in for the fourth time in an hour.
"I used to be like you." Destiny said. " I wanted the world to know my name, and to never forget it. I will give you a destiny that is very great but do not waste it little one. Use it for good and don't be like me, follow God and you will succeed."
The child couldn't hear Destiny but she fell soundly to sleep as Destiny pulled out a small orb of light. Little sparkles danced through the ball and made silent squeaks every so often. It reminded Destiny of when light pours in from a window and lights up all the dust and makes it dance until the sunlight fades away.
She took the small orb and pushed it into the chest of the child. It didn't hurt her and she never stirred. Nothing was different except now the child had a destiny.
