If I had recalled, I don't remember introducing myself to you. My name is Hanna Jones. I'm a typical girl, living everyday in surburbia. Lame, am I right? Well, all of that changed. It all started at one summer, inside a coffee shop. Well.. Enough chitchat, lets get started, right?
I remember resting my hands upon The Daring Book for Girls while drinking out of a Seattle's Best cup. Just a typical day for me. Very typical.
The coffee shop was crowded with artists and employees taking a break from their hectic lives. I giggled at the sight of my friend Jamie juggling the responsibility of taking orders and making lattes for the customers.
"Help." she mouthed to me as she passed by with a tray of steaming hot mocha lattes and frapachinos for table 8- A table filled with inpatient preppy girls, barking into their "top of the line" cell phones and twirling their shiny hair.
"Why did you take sooo long to get our lattes?" barked a brunnet from table 8- her Dentyn ice shaped teeth practically forming into fangs.
"Well, since I don't snap my fingers and lattes come out of my butt magically?" Jamie snapped back.
A blonde from the table stood up. "Well, you should, like, try that. Because you stink at being a barista." she hissed while buffing her french manicured thumb.
I could tell that Jamie was getting really pissed, by the way she was breathing more slower than usual, and how she was clenching her fists. Ohhh snap. I knew that something was going to happen next.
Jamie clenched onto one of the frapachinos and dumped it onto the blonde one that made Jamie snap.
"Ehmagawsh!" she squealed, the brown blended beverage staining her white Ralph Lauren polo.
"Now.. Why don't you snap your fingers so a dry cleaner would come out of your butt magically?" Jamie smirked, turning on her heel.
"Whatevs! Your probably jealous that she's more, like, prettier than you." said a girl with fiery red hair, rubbing the blonde's back.
"Oh, yeah, I'm sure that I'm real jealous about that issue." Jamie said, oozing sarcasm. "Well, I have to get back to my job. Laytah." she walked back, turning her nose up ever so slightly and high-fiving me on her way back behind the counter. "That was great." she laughed.
"Yeah, real great.." I clutched the Daring Book for girls near me as I looked at Table 8 as they talked to the manager. Jamie wouldnd't be laughing for long now.
"Fired!" The manager cried out, smacking the hard wooden desk with his fist.
I don't know how I got into this with Jamie, but probably had something to do with Jamie high-fiving me on her way back.
"WHAT?!"
He smashed his face onto the desk and rose up after quickly. I tried not to laugh at him. Mr. Suarez took out a slightly thick employee's handbook. "Look.at.the.index. He pronounced the syllables of each word carefully, like knifes that were sharpened.
"Um.. Okay, so theres stuff about hygiene, clothing, behavior, and stuff.." she rolled her eyes, showing me that she was so not okay with this situation and being treated like a 1st grader.
"Where does it say that its okay to pour beverages onto customers?" he stroked his moustache.
"Um.. no where?" Jamie lifted her eyebrow.
"Then pack your stuff!" he growled, picking up two things from the floor. At first I thought he had a huge stick that he would use to poke us out of the room, or...
"Here, and take your last payment with you! Oh and this 'Jamie pwns' sign you stuck in front of my door." Mr. Suarez put the two items in front of Jamie, which she looked at blankly. I covered my shaking lips from giving away I was thinking this was a big joke and getting into more trouble.
"Go on, take it!" he urged.
"To where? Timbuktu?" she hissed while crinkling her J shaped nose.
"Obviously your house." He shook his head, showing that he was disgusted that Jamie was acting like an airhead at this time. I pinched Jamie's elbow, letting her know that she was gonna get into more trouble with this troll. Okay, maybe its a little mean to say he's a troll, but hey, the dude's 4 feet something and had the delicate features of a troll. Even my little brother is taller than that..
"Now git!" he actually took out a huge stick and started poking Jamie out of the room. I snickered on our way out. There was the stick I was talking about. Oh lord, everything felt so surreal right now.
"I swear, I'm so sick of that troll of a boss." she shook her head and threw her "Jamie pwns" sign inside a passing janitor's garbage can.
As we walked out, I spot a good looking guy, looks like a model. I stare at him for a few seconds, and as if sensing my glare, he looks at me and smiles. And then comes worse, he makes his way torwards us!
OHH SNAP.
