- Why ask a question if not to be informed? Why ask a question if our goal is to be the opposite of ignorant? How can man comprehend the questions of another without the knowledge of the purpose behind asking the question? How can man be motivated to move onto a conclusion that may be leagues away from the point of truth? Is our role in society to put reason behind the asking of a question and to shun the speaker from asking a different question for fear of misguiding their peers from their original intention? Isn’t the asking of a question part of the art of freedom of speech? Yet, how can we be free when we have the knowledge that certain questions are not to be asked but silently pondered? Can we not wonder by asking questions without having to worry about offending another person because they have assumed we ask for a particular reason? Are we to add one more worry to our list of human happenings that we must write down and pay attention to what we ask? Is it not our intention to be informed, never for there to be a rhetorical silence following our questions? Can we not ask a question just to ask? Can a question ever be just a question? Are we to continue to put our backs up against the wall for asking a question we deem to be followed by silence yet are answered by those who own a mentally of answering all the questions that come their way? Is it ever a normal day if we ask a question with the reason being to end a silence that has and will always continue to exist?
