I'd always wondered what it was like to be with the 'In' crowd. In school they always looked so extravagant and beautiful. They always wore nice, designer clothes, and their hair was always so perfect. Their skin, so flawless. Well, they weren't totally flawless.
Morgan Bloom (She's not related to Orlando Bloom, she likes to pretend she is though.) She has glasses, but she still looks fabulous, the brim of the glasses is decorated with a few small diamonds, you can't go wrong with diamonds. She was planning on getting some ocean blue contact lenses, to cover up her dark green ones. Dark blue would look good with her heart-shaped face and curled, below the shoulder hair.
Amory Demora, she has a retainer. She likes to hide the fact that she does, but everyone knows she does. She has a diamond-shaped face and has light freckles sprinkled across her nose. She's always touching her fluffy, luscious, waist length blond hair. She treats it like it's god or something.
Finally, there's Savannah Adair. Her last name kind of sounds like 'Adore' if you think about it. She's pretty much flawless, except for the fact that she got pregnant last year. She got an abortion. Her reputation is pretty much more important to her then her life is. Her glossy black hair, just above her shoulders, always accessorized with a headband.
I'm just me. Addaline Lexington. Light blond hair, blue eyes, slightly crooked nose and kind of thin lips, I wasn't the prettiest thing out there, but I was kind of pretty, I'm just not so conceited about it.
...
I took a deep breathe and decided that I was going to do it. I was going to ask to sit with them. I let the air go and chewed my bottom lip. I'd never been so nervous in my life. I cleared my throat before walking over to their table which held just the three of them and an extra chair that was empty. They were chatting and giggling, like usual. I started walking to their table, my boots with short heels, making clacking noises with each step. The clacking sounded as if it were warning me, telling me I was going into dangerous territory, telling me to turn back around. Now, it was too late. Amory, Morgan, and Savannah had stopped talking to look at me.
"Um, hey. Can I...Sit here?" I tried really hard not to stutter. I didn't want to look like an idiot. None of them spoke. Morgan and Amory turned to look at Savannah, trying to figure out what she was going to say. Savannah smiled and almost put me into shock.
"Sure." She replied. I blinked several times before it got through my head. She said I could sit with them. I told myself to keep calm, be cool. Don't act all freaky and excited like any other girl would have done.
I pulled the empty seat out and sat in it. Keep calm. I continued to tell myself. I started to chew my lip again but stopped because I didn't know if they would think it was weird. I didn't want to seem nervous, I wanted to seem confident and calm. I wanted it to seem as if this were any regular day for me, even though I was sitting with them.
The started to talk again. They didn't seem to notice, or care that I was sitting there. Oh, well. I was still lucky to be sitting with them. Any other person would be dying to be in my spot.
