The snow was falling from the sky like rain as he walked down the ice covered sidewalk. “I will protect you for as long as I can.” the old, warn out man wheezed. His overalls were drooping a bit , and is mud brown shirt made him stand out. In his wrinkled frost bit hands he held a stuffed rabbit.
It looked like it was from the 1900's because of all its tears and stitches. It was a normal gray with little bit of brown in its fur. The owner of the rabbit's name was Charles he owned his family's hand me down pawn shop. It was around Christmas time and, he knew this was the year the old bunny would be sold. Yet even though he had this rabbit for years he didn't know it had the top secret area 51 key tucked away in its stuffing.
He held the end or a brand new beginning. There were tons of old cars parked across the street. Almost all of them were empty except for one. Matty, Jhony, and Davey were all treasure hunters. They had been searching for treasure ever since they were little. There first experience was finding Davey's dogs bone in the backyard.
The car they hid in was swamp green. Three of the windows were covered in ice, and one was broken. They had been lying down watching the old man for days. “Come on lemme at em!” grunted Matty. “ Patients......” calmly replied Davey. “We've been watching this guy for days do you think I have any patients left I'm turning into Rudolph!” Matty whined. “ Hey look the old man is coughing!” yelled Jhony.
They all looked out the window. “Well if you wanted to see that we should of went to my moms house.” laughed Matty. THUMP! The man old man had bitten the dust. Matty jolted out of the car only to be tugged back in by Jhony. “ WHY DID YOU DO THAT!” Matty yelled almost blowing there cover. Davey cupped his hand over Matty's mouth. Matty was a red head with green eyes. Eyes ready for adventure. Jhony had blond hair and blue eyes. He was built for speed. Davey had black hair and brown eyes. He was the smarted one of the group. They all wore ski jackets and blue jeans. They couldn't go around in the weather with only T-shirts on. An ambulance came and got the body.
As it drove away Matty ran over to the “crime scene” the rabbit was gone. Only the mans figure was left in the snow. “Its over lets go home.” Jhony said. “NO ITS NOT!” Davey yelled as he hot-wired the car. “ ALRIGHT!” yelled Matty happily as he jumped in the back with Jhony. “Now lets follow that ambulance!” Matty screamed as Davey slammed on the gas. They had been on the iced road for hours and had no idea how they were going to get the bunny. "OK listen up.", Davey said while stopping the car. "They will either throw the bunny away or they will ship it to a poor family." Matty leaned back in the seat, making it squeak. "If on the downside they ship it away, we can knockout the shippers." "Sounds like a plan." Matty yawned. As Davey started the car Matty leaned over to Jhony, and looked at him right in the eyes. "What!" Johny whispered. Matty let out a sigh and sat in the car like he was motionless. By this time Davey and Johny were really confused about why something absurd hadn't blurted out of Matty's mouth. The stress in the car was getting to there heads.
"Whats wrong Matty!"yelled Davey. "You can tell us anything."Jhony said as he placed a hand on Matty's shoulder. They were all looking into each others eyes.....in complete silence. "I'm hungry...." giggled Matty. "Its not much longer till we get to the hospital."Davey mumbled. "Davey's right, well get food when were there. As they drove on the highway they could see the hospital. It wasn't that far away from the Statue Of Liberty. It was about 5 story's tall. Decorated in Christmas lights. It was navy blue. When they walked in everything got quiet. " Their looking..." whispered Matty. " Ignore them." whispered Davey. They walked up to the main check in booth."
We're here about our friend he's elderly, and died recently." said Davey with a grin. The red haired woman working looked at them in fear." Whats the matter?"asked Davey. She lifted her hand and pointed her long red nail at Matty.”What'd you do this time Matty?” Everyone in the room was still watching.” Actually this time.... nothing.” Matty said in disbelief. Jhony looked down at where the lady was pointing. She pulled out a paper. It had a picture of Mattys face on it, and it listed 6 different murders in the past year he had done. “Oh my god Matty all these years we've been brothers.....we had no idea..” Whined Davey. Matty ground his teeth together, and cursed.
He suddenly wrapped his arm around Jhony and held him hostage with his pocket knife. “ Matty stop!” The security guards ran down the stairs. All there guns were pointed at Matty. Matty put the pocket knife up and pulled out a dog whistle. “Okay, Matty so you plan to hurt me with a dog whistle.” wheezed Jhony. “Not exactly.” Matty evilly laughed. He raised the dog whistle up to his mouth. “ AHHH HE'S GOT THE WHISTLE!” Yelled the second security guard. All the people screamed and hid under chairs and tables. Matty held the whistle up to his lips. The guards all were still. “Dang Matty what did you do to these people..”yelled Davey. Matty lowered his whistle and pushed Jhony aside. “I'm not your brother.”Matty growled.
Out of no where two giant dogs appeared. One was blond, with a red scar the shape of a moon on its right eye, cloth wrapped around its left hind leg, and a irritated pinkish left eye. It was about 4ft off the ground. Then a wolf came in behind it. The wolf walked on its hind legs, and was black with yellow eyes. Davey sat down on the floor. The dog and wolf began growling drool dripped form the halfway opened mouths. Matty smiled. “Where did you put the elderly mans rabbit that entered here a while ago.”he asked.” We put it on a plane to Alaska, he said he didn't want anyone here to gave it.” A brave security guard said. Matty walked towards the security guards. One shot at him the blond wolf jumped in front of him. The dog fell to the ground. Everyone got up and were relived, but then it got back up. Matty reached down and pulled the bullet out of its side, then wrapped the cloth from its leg around the wound. “I need two plane tickets to Alaska.” Matty said.” The woman in the booth called the air port.” Davey, Jhony........ come.”Matty mumbled quietly.
As the three walked out the door the dog and wolf followed. Matty got in the back, and so did Jhony. Then Davey started to drive.”This never happened.” Jhony whispered still in shock. “Agreed.” said Matty and Davey at the same time.”What are we going to do about the dogs on the hood of the car?” asked Davey as drool slid down the window.”Ignore them.”Matty replied tossing the pocket knife out the window. As they reached the airport it was 7:45. The snow had foot prints of animals and people in it. The whole airport was black except for a little door leading to Alaska at 7:50. The owner greeted the men, but stayed away from Matty's animals.” This way watch your step as you enter the plane.” The owner said as he opened the door. The plane was empty, and they had it all to themselves. The owner flew it.
All of them had fallen asleep around 1:00am but the wolf and dog were wide awake. THUD THUD THUD. Matty was awakened by the planes rough landing.” Wake up guys were here!” Matty said in excitement as he ran towards the exit with his pets.” Whoopdedoodah.” sighed Davey. The northern lights were beautiful. The people all lived in igloos.”Now its time to find that rabbit.” Matty said rubbing his hands together. “ There it is!” Yelled Davey. A little kid was walking along the edge of a piece of ice. The kid was being careful not to fall into the ocean around him. Mattys dogs ran towards the kid. When the kid noticed them he lost his balance. Then he fell in the waters. The dog and wolf tried to get it but froze in the water. The rabbit slowly sunk to the bottom lost forever.
