• tab It was avery bad day to be me. I was running for my life, from the stupidest cops I had ever had the misfortune of meeting, through the bussy streets of London, England. I was just an American tourist who had just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
tab I was 17-years-old with no family left and a large bounty on my head. I had come to England to escape the publicity that I was receiving after the deaths of my family. Now I was running for my life, trying to clear my name and return home.
tab The poliece were hot on my trail that day. I had been running all night but I had still not been able to lose them. I had ended up in the center of London, on a very bussy street. I stood in the middle of the street as people pushed past me. I was completely lost and the cops were catching up to me. I had two options; hide in a pub where I would have to deal with drunkards, or the assylum and put up with crazy, mentally reterted, insain people. Either way I was screwed.
tab "Ere he is," one of the cops that was chasing me shouted. I could tell that they were closing in on my position and I had to make a choice. I began to push my through the crowd, trying to reach the assylum before the cops caught up with me. I would rather take my chances with crazy people than drunkards.
tab I burst through the doors of the assylum panting like a husky on a hot SC summer day. "I need a room," I said quickly to the woman that was sitting at the front desk.
tab "I do not think I can do that sir," the woman replied absently.
"I'll pay you, just name your price," I said desperatly. I was getting desperate and very reckless in my situation.
tab "I'm sorry sir but I can't do that," the woman replied kindly.
tab "Yes we can daughter," an older woman retorted. "We have only one room left and you shall have to share it with its current resident. Of course free of charge."
tab "Thank you madam," I said with a clumsy bow that made the older woman's daughter laugh, relieved at my good fortune. I was finally going to be safe from the cops that were chasing me. This stroke of luck was going to give me a chance to clear my name and return home. I was in high spirits until I met my room mate.
tab It was a girl about a year older than me with white blonde hair and sky blue eyes. Her hair reached half way down her back and looked like it had not been brushed in quite awhile. Her clothes were worn, tattered, and torn and hung off of her body like they could no longer fit her. She was really thin and I could see her bones beneith her taunt skin.
tab In other words she was a wreck. The girl was sitting on one of the two beds in the room with her legs clutched to her boney chest. Her sky blue eyes were locked on me, watching me intensly and taking in my appearence. That was when I became concious of how I must have looked to her.
tab "Why is she here," I asked the woman who had brought me to the room.
tab "The poliece caught her trying to kill herself in her jail cell," the woman replied. "They brought her here hoping that we could help her. You see, she was on a cruise ship that was jacked by modren day pirates with her parents.
tab "Her parents were killed by the pirates when they stormed the cruise ship. We think that is what messed her up and drove her to try to kill herself. We have no idea what she is capable of so be careful."
tab I nodded sowly without taking my eyes off of the girl that was sitting on the bed that was closest to the only barred window in the entire room. Her sky blue eyes heartlessly returned my gaze. Just by looking into those deep, bright sky blue eyes I could see her pain and suffering.

tab The boy that had been lead into my room could do nothing more than stare at me when the caretaker, that had lead him to my room, left him alone with me. A girl who was thought to be crazy, insain, and suicidal. That was what I was thought to be by many people, including this new boy.
tab To tell you the truth I was a little crazy and I had tried to kill myself a couple of time, but I had a good reason to try and kill myself. My entire life had been full of endless pain and misery. If you were what I am your life would have been the same.
tab The boy that had been leftin my room was still standing at the, now closed, door. His dark blue eyes were taking in my room in quick glances, always letting his gaze rest on me after each quick glance. His brown umber hair was unruley and looked as if it had not been tended to in quite some time. His clothes were stained with the filth of the streets of London. In other words, he was a mess but not as much of a mess as I must have been.
tab The boy finally began to walk towards the other bed in my room. He sat down on the side of the bed facing away from me and I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. As soon as I closed my eyes the dream began.

tab I jolted awake in my room at the assylum and threw up all over the covers of my bed. I closed my eyes and began to sob as a fiery pain began to arch through my back. I could feel the warm blood seeping into the tattered back of my shirt. Finally the pain made me scream and the boy--who must have been asleep--jolted awake, got out of his bed, and rushed to my side.
tab I felt him place a hand on my right shoulder and I tried to shrug it off and almost threw up again. I opened my eyes to look at the boy and saw him staring at my covers. I slowly followed his gaze and almost heaved once more. Bile and blood covered the sheets of my bed.
tab The boy saw my reaction and gentally picked me up, cradling me in his arms very carefully, and carried me into the bathroom, ignoring the blood on my back. He placed me in the bathroom floor mat. I was clutching my knees to my chest and sobbing softly by that time. The boy knelt down beside me and began to stroke my white-blonde hair in an effort yo comfort me.
tab Aftew awhile I stopped crying and fell asleep in the boy's arms. He must have carried me back to the main room and placed me in his bed because that't where I woke up. The boy had slept the entire night on the floor and I felt a twinge of guilt.
tab I couldn't help being what I was, nor coul I have helped that my powers were finally completed that night as well as the mark on my back. The mark that showed what I was, what I was born as.
tab I twisted my arm around and felt the mark on my back. Sure enough, the entire mark was there, cursing me as one of the Time Twisters. I did not have much time before the owners of the assylum found out that my powers were finally completed and took my life from me. There was only one place that I would be safe and that was in the past.
