• The Departure

    As the sun began to set on this black ominous day, Sasuke breathed in deeply as he felt the wind blow his hair in an eastern direction.

    "You have nothing to say to me. You, you, LIAR! Why do you have to be so selfish teme?! Why can't you just stay?!" Naruto screamed as he clenched his fists.

    Sasuke looked at Naruto with a glazed look in his eyes. "Well things apparently changed."

    His stare was broken as Naruto stammered at his cold words and turned away. Sasuke's eyes were now on the tremble of his hands.

    "I'm sorry." He whispered.

    "You promised!" Naruto exclaimed clenching his fist even harder.

    "I love you dobe."

    Naruto hesitated, glanced back, only to see those deep, luminess pools of betrayal one last time. A tear managed to fall from the boys eye. He closed both eyes tightly, and looked back at their small village of Konoha.

    "You gonna miss this place?" Naruto whimpered, trying to shake the thought of the raven's last spoken words.

    "Doubt it. I probably wont be back." Sasuke said showing no emotion whatsoever.

    Naruto glared at him.

    "Well then leave already!"

    His body was boiling with anger.

    "I'll miss you though, my Naru." Sasuke whispered as he gently wrapped his arms around the small blonde.

    Naruto gasped and Sasuke smirked knowing the fox boy couldn't resist his touch. Naruto's anger was now showing as he spoke.

    "Well I won't miss you." He lied pushing Sasuke's arms away.

    Sasuke's smirk suddently disappeared. His mouth dropped a bit.

    "Goodbye dobe." Sasuke spoke solemnly.

    Sasuke looked at Naruto once more. His eyes drooping a bit, almost as if he didn't want to leave his lover. As he slowly turned around, a tear streamed down his face. He wiped it off, and began to walk down the old road leading away from Konoha. Narutos heart ached so much.

    "Goodbye my Sasu." Naruto whispered in a hushed tone, and decided to walk back towards Kohona.

    He had cried all day, all week, and all month. He longed for his raven lover. He lay awake each night, every memory of the Uchiha rushed through his head.

    "Teme." Naruto gritted his teeth and growled.

    Each time he tried to escape the pain, it just hit him even harder as the taste of Sasuke's kiss pierced his heart. Naruto had lost all hope and all trust for the selfish boy that day. Sasuke seeked power, and he would do anything to get that. Even if it meant hurting the one person he truly loved. He wanted Sasuke there with him! He belonged to him! He loved him so much. Naruto couldn't bear the harsh pain, Then he finally realized, he was all alone again...

    ~Flashback~

    Nauto lay awake in bed smiling as Sasuke held the fox boy's head on his lap, gently petting his wild blonde hair.

    "Hey Sasuke?" Naruto asked happily.

    "Yeah?" Sasuke answered still petting the blonde's hair making him pur.

    "I have a question for you... and I want you to answer honsetly."

    "Sure, anything for you dobe." Sauke teased.

    "Don't call me that. You know I hate that, teme." Naruto pouted.

    "Awww Naru you know i'm just playing." Sasuke leaned down and kissed Naruto's forehead making the tanned boy smile.

    "So what were you gonna ask?"

    Naruto's smile disappeared. With that, Sasuke knew the blonde was serious about this question. "Well, I know you want revenge on your brother and all. But if it came down to it, do you think you'd just stay here with me?"

    Naruto bit his lip. Sasuke was silent for awhile. He finally broke the silence by speaking calmly.

    "Look, if it ever came down to it, I promise I will stay here with you. I'll never leave you my Naru. I'd be an idiot to give you up."

    Naruto giggled, hugging the Uchiha and gently kissed him.

    Sasuke kissed back, but his thoughts bitterly eroded his happiness as a voice in the back of his head screamed, "Liar!"

    ~End Flashback~

    Sasukes words echoed in Narutos head. "I promise i'll stay here with you....i'll never leave you." Naruto had given Sasuke everything he had. Sasuke had no right to do that! He had no right to hurt Naruto and be so cold.

    "He doesn't care about me. He never has. If he truly loved me, Sasuke would've stayed."

    Naruto told this to himself countless times, which just made closure so much harder to reach. He never wanted to see Sasuke's face again. He swore to himself that if there paths were to ever cross again, Naruto would not give the cold boy anymore chances. He was tired of being hurt. He was through with love. Naruto hated Sasuke, he hated him!
