• It was black as the midnight, and the moons light was only visible through shafts in the trees of the forest.The rain poured down as hard pellets on our backs as Tru, Kitsune, and I positioned ourselves in front of Jacob, ready to strike and defend him. Selene, the head vampire, stood upright, as a head vampire would stand to converse to her people. Selene then smiled, letting her fangs show; a snarl ripped through her teeth.
    "You are ready to die so soon? For a mortal? How.. interesting," Selene said almost silently,"But i should have known that you would ask for an ending as such."
    Selene snapped her fingers, and six other vampires appeared instantly behind her. Tru snarled in frustration, eager to attack and kill them all. She lunged forward, only to find herself held back by both Kitsune and I.
    Selene chuckled wickedly. I snarled at her as she fixed her gaze upon Jacob's face. I felt the fury crawl up my spine. " You will not touch him," I growled through my teeth,"Not even after im stone cold dead!" "That can be easily arranged," Selene said, and she snapped her fingers.
    One of the six vampires, a female, lunged forward, slamming me into a tree. The impact boke the tree in its middle, leaving both me and the vampire falling with it. I qiuckly placed my foot on her chest and kicked her into the air, leaving her to soar into the next tree across from us. I jumped to my feet instantly, leaving only the sound of the tree to crash. The female vampire lunged at me from the top of a tree. As i prepared my self, Kitsune side-striked, sending both of them into the ground. The other five vampires came into view. Each of them had their teeth barred, snarling.
    "Take him away from here! NOW!" I screamed at Tru. She grunted in frustration, but quickly picked him up and ran. She was out of sight within a second. I turned back to face the remaining vampires, only to come to see Selene standing in front of me. Her claws flickered with a clicking sound. She then swiped her her hand to my stomach, and I grunted in agony. Selene then lunged me into the other direction, and i hit a tree. She quickly slammed into me holding my shirt at my shoulders, tossing me again into another tree. I landed on the ground breathless, and in pain.
    "You will never touch him," I said through my heavy breathing,"Never!" I lunged at her, slamming her into the ground. Viciously, i bared my teeth, and bit her shoulder. She screeched in pain, then quickly shoving me off into the other direction. Kitsune, after finishing off the last guard vampire, ran and dug her massive claws into Selene's sides.
