• It was a beautiful starlit night, the two lovers walked side by side, an awkward silence loomed over head. Both seemed quite distracted by their surroundings, as if completely unaware of the other's presence.

“It's... a nice night” The blond, blue eyed girl said, breaking the silence, a bit of hesitance in her voice.

“Yes Peachy, it's a beautiful night!” He replied with enthusiasm, his Italian accent thick as he reached up to stroke at his thick black mustache.

She glanced over at him, he wore the same red overalls and blue shirt he always wore since the day they met so many years ago. What she would have gave to see him wear something different.

“I didn't see you at all yesterday.” He said, a hint of suspicion in his voice. “Bowser didn't try to capture you again?”

“Oh no, it was nothing like that. I was,” she hesitated, “out with a friend.”

He turned to her. “A friend? Why Mario never hear about this,” he paused as he proceeded to put emphasis on the word, “friend?”

    She remained silent.

“Mama Mia!” He simply exclaimed. “Who is this person?”

She gave him a weak smile. “Luigi.” With that she walked off, leaving him dumbfounded.

“Oh no! Weegee!” He exclaimed again, slumping down.

Bowser, the reptilian turtle like monster, popped out of the bushes and exclaimed with delight at Mario's expense. “Your princess is in another castle.”
