Greater Deception
While the sun arose from behind the mountains, a glow of orange light illuminated the valley and lake entrapped by the mountain range with a beautiful nimbus. Standing near the sparkling lake, a man, with the uttermost destruction of the world in his eyes; from his past, effected greatly by jilt and misconduct by his lover. Being betrayed in that sense caused him to flee from the human community to this desolate place. Now equipped with extreme vanity and weapon in hand, there is no need for words or to be tactful in that matter due to lack of human presence in this bountiful valley.
Walking away from the lakes edge, he made his way up the hill saturated in lavender and a margin of other flourishing vegetation. A place so beautiful in its own loneliness cannot contain its own caliber of excellence. There’s always something wrong, but it appears not to be. No place, to this man, exists in this world, or any other world. Quarreling with the reality of having no one around and the fantasy of imaginary people following him around, he staggered along stealthily, attempting to search and destroy those who mock him in his psychological dispute. Plagued with their false, physical presence, he strikes and all vegetation with furiousness with his hand-made spear; constructed with wood from a red oak found at the eastern edge of the valley, and a sharpened stone from the river, he flings it around aimlessly.
As his own being diminished away in mentality, he broke down, screaming in emotional pain and physical stress. His hands, bruised splintered, and clammy from sweat, he grips his skull with beleaguered terror for the decision he made; leaving communities which were really there. Within this anguish, his spear, sharp and deadly, drove through his chest, piercing his chest. Drawing his last breath, his heart ceases beating, then, silence. A life wasted, time wasted, his eyes closed. It was a morning death. It was a silent death. It was a lonely death. But still, it was a human death. The art of life at its end, without the hope of a new beginning, the breeze carries away the artificial sands of wasted time in the man’s life and for another being to take hold of.
“Bring in 19-7304! We need a new subject!” a command filtered through a radio headset shouted. In return for the command, a being, a man, in chains, was brought (more like dragged) into the transfer chamber. He was placed in the seat without care, just dropped like dead weight which served no purpose. As he regained conscience, he peered through his sweat strewn hair just as he began to go through particle transfer into the next chamber. The scientists stared at him as he began to break down molecularly and he glared back at them. “I’ll come back for all of you.” His last words said with assurance as he beamed into the next world.
