• The front door slammed and dad's heavy feet stomped on the ground and drove away in his car. Mike and I sat under a tree out of breath lucky.
    "So...are you OK?" Mike asked.
    "Sure. I'm sorry to bring you into this."
    "It's no problem Lacy."
    Mike and I sat for a long time talking back and forth and finally the sun began to set and the day turned into another lonesome night.
    "I guess I'll see you tomorrow Mike." I waved.
    "Wait!" He said rushing back as if he forgot something.
    "Here, I want you to have this and remember it forever." Mike leaned in close and kissed me on the lips. I had been caught off gaurd and stood there stunned in the darkness. As soon as the lights hit on outside and Mike was gone I slowly and confused walked to my house. As I closed the door I stood behind it catching my breath and still feeling the warmness on my lips. I walked up to the stairs and went to sleep scared and confused.

    Next morning I woke up to an empty house yet again. I jumped into my uniform and raced to school busy with a flushed face. The school doors were wide open with familiar faces from the back of my homeroom class. Mike hung out under the awning standing there relaxed and pleased. I walked over to him.
    "Mike? About last night..." I began.
    "I'm sorry. You weren't ready, you don't even like me."
    "How do you know? I haven't told you. I was actually happy."
    "You mean you do like me?"
    "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I said.
    "Does this mean we go out now, and be a couple thing?" He asked.
    "Only if you want to."
    "Well, it's fine with me." He smiled.
    I began to walk off but he pulled me back and kissed me, "Before you go."
    "Yeah?" I wondered.
    "You're skirts up. AGAIN." He laughed.
    Embarresed I pulled it down, AGAIN!
