• Stefan stormed through the counseling tent without care that the meeting that was happening was important. Fairly important.
“She is stubborn!” cried Stefan, throwing his arms into the air.
“Stefan, you come here when we discuss a matter very important; a matter that involves yourself?”
Stefan was silent for a moment, eyebrows creased in question.
“That is correct. We talk about you often… and about the girl?”
    Stefan nodded.
“We will give her the weapons.” Stefan said.
The head of the board raised his eyebrows.
“…when she cooperates, of course.” Stefan added.
The head of the board nodded and waved his arm, dismissing Stefan.
Stefan left the tent cursing to himself.
“That didn’t sound good.” Said Bartholomew, apparently he had been listening.
    “Quiet!” Stefan yelled in frustration.
Stefan and Bartholomew had known each other for a long time, they were good friends and had done a lot together, and going to war was one of those things they did together.
Stefan walked across the field to the hospital tent to visit the girl that was causing him such trouble.
He walked in to find the elf standing and using her sword fighting the air.
“You have a good arm.” said Stefan.
    The elf jumped and turned.
When she saw Stefan and Bartholomew, she sighed.
“I am not as weak as you think.” She said.
“And next time we meet, hopefully you will call me by my name. It’s Kiki.”
The girl put her sword in her leather pouch and pulled the hood of the cloak over her face.
She strolled past Stefan and Bartholomew with pride but was only stopped by a hand.
“Where do you plan to go?” asked Stefan.
“Back to my people,” Kiki said, squirming free of the grip.
    “Where are your people?”
    “Listen Bartholomew…”
    “Call me Bart.”
“… Whatever! I know where my people are and I won’t have an escort or something!”
Kiki walked out of the tent and strolled off into the horizon.
“We better follow her, just in case.” said Stefan, heaving a pack onto his back.
Bart nodded and grabbed his own bag.
They walked after Kiki and soon disappeared from sight.

Kiki screamed in fury at the sight.
The tents were destroyed and dead bodies lied everywhere.
The only sign of life was of a small flower that was slightly wilted.
Kiki knew who had done this, and she told herself she would follow the trail either to destroy the one that had killed her people or either to join them.
She heard a twig snap and she turned around swiftly.
    “Bart! Stefan!”
Stefan walked out of a bush sadly and Bart fell out.
“Who did this? Do you know?” asked Stefan.
“Yes, the darkness. I am going after it and you might not want to come.”
“I would love to come.” said Bart.
Kiki sighed, “alright, you can come but no weird stuff or calling your people. And don’t expect some really nice treatment.”
    Stefan nodded and Bart smiled.
Kiki stepped past one body after another, holding back her tears so the humans wouldn’t think her as weak.
So then they began the journey and Kiki began to realize, someone else was watching them.
