• About 15 minutes later, the doorbell rang. Katie stood in the doorway. Izzy ran to the kitchen and grabbed her Grammar Book.
    "Her you go Katie,Kate,Lynn!"Izzy said politely handing Katie the book.
    "See you tomorrow Iz!"Katie said over hershoulder as she walked away. "I'll bring this to you tomorrow! OK?"
    "Don't worry about it!"Izzy said as she closed the door.
    "Okay! I might you know though!" Katie joked.
    "Whatever, just be careful though! I don't want to have to pay for the school to get a stupid new Grammar Book!" Izzy said.
    "I'd be paying for it, not you! Because I'd be the one who ruined it!" Katie said hopping into the car.
    Isabella shut the door and watched Katie leave. She trudged up to her room, where Leah awaited her on the bed. Isabella picked up Leah and swung her round and round.
    Tomorrow was Leah and Isabella's birthdays. Cool to sahre a birthday with your Man's Best Friend Isabella thought silently to herself.
    Leah suddenly barked. Boy is she smart Isabella thought again because it's our bedtime.
    Isabella placed Leah in her dog bed and then changed and hopped into bed herself. She was restlessly excited. She finally dropped into a restless sleep.

    When Isabella awoke, she forgot what day it was. She was very tired. Then Leah brought in some baloons and behind her, Izzy's Mom, her younger sister Carrie, her older brother Spencer, and her father!
    "Dad! Your home!" Izzy cried hopping out of bed to hug him.
    Then Izzy stooped down, picked up Leah and swung her around and around.
    "Happy birthday, Leah!" Izzy and her family cried.
    After breakfast, Izzy and Leah opened presents.
    Leah got new chew toys and a pig's ear.
    Izzy got a dance, dance revolution game, an ipod, American Girl clothes, a new collar and leash for Leah, and............
