• CHAPTER2:NIGHTMARE REVISITED

Mikoto could feel her heart pounding as she, Deidara, and Oromi entered the dark and dangerous forest. She could feel a wave of unnerving familiarity wash over her as the trio went deeperand deeper into the scary place, careful not to make a sound in case of hidden enemies. She clung onto Oromi's arm like a flea to a dog.
"Hey, you all right Mikoto? You seem oddly...clingy." Deidara asked her. She nodded in response.
"Mikoto, you're hurting my arm. Could you loosen up a little?"Oromi asked politley. Mikoto made no response.
"You're holding his arm so tight it's turning purple! Let the poor man go!"
"I can handle ths myself. She's just zoned out."
"Yeah, well, it looks like she's got adeath grip on you."
    "It's fine. She's just scared. That's all."
"I am too. Hey do you know what this freaky forest is called?"
"Yeah, but don' say the na-"
    "The Forest of Death!"
Mikoto froze, tears filling her dark green eyes.
"Can't you keep your mouth shut for five minutes?" Oromi hissed.
"What did I do!?" Deidara asked loudly.
"Shut up! It's none of your buisness!"
"My team member freezes up it's my buisness!"
    Mikoto fell to her knees.
"Oh, God! Not again." she sobbed quietly. Oromi kneeled by her side and put an arm around her.
    "It's all right, Mikoto-"
"It's my fault. It's all my fault."
"what the hell's going on? What's your fault?"
    "Deidara! Shut up!"
    "Kill me."
    The two boys froze.
    "What?"
"Kill me. I don't deserve to live."
"Oromi...please tell me she's not saying what I think she's saying."
    "Mikoto? Why?"
"I don't wat to live anymore. Not here."
"We aren't living here." Deidara ssaid.
"I don't want to be here anymore."
"Mikoto, it's all in your head. It's all over."
    "What's going on?"
    "She's reliving some bad memories."
    "What?"
"Daddy!" She shrieked. Oromi couldn't take itanymore. He had to do what he had to do. He knocked her out.
"Now, will you please explain to me what's going on?" Deidara asked, annoyed at his clulessness.
"Her dad died protecting her here when she was five. She feels that it's her fault that he's gone. She didn't know where we were and we would've made it out of here without this happening if you would've just kept your mouth shut."
"Oh crap. I didn't know. Is she going to be-"
"She'll be fine as long as you don't speak for the rest of the mission." Oromi picked Mikoto up and started walking."C'mon. We have to get to the closest town to us as fast as we pssibly can, because ifwe don't get her to a hospital soon, she's going to wake up and freak out again. Not to mention that stupid package we have to deliver."
They started walking again, Deidara staying completley silent.
