• His eyes lit with affection under his lucious eyelashes. He was looking ahead, rambling about his bass and how he broke a string at band practice, how impossible it is for a bass.
    "Are you listening?" He laughed.
    "No- er, yes." I blushed.
He sighed. "Well, I like when you do."
I nodded. He was always so conciterate. If only he knew I loved him...
    "Alice."
I peered at him through the corner of my eyeliner-covered eye, red like roses, trying to cover my face with my black hair. "Y-yes, Seth?"
"Why are you so sad all the time?" He stopped in front of me. "You need to be cheerful, like Mia."
"She's a singer. Isn't she supposed to be?" I blurted. "Plus, your supposed to back her up. your her brother."
Seth laughed loud. "Alice, alice... That doesnt prove s**t."
Sure it does I wanted to say. You always pay attention to her. and she's related to you. I didn't know if I could even talk anymore. He was so kind, he made me happy. I wish he realized how much I cared for him.
Finally, we arrived at his garage. I sat on the side, the others all grabbing their insterments.
Jhonny sat behind his drums, peering at me. We all knew he liked me.
    "You okay, Alice?" He asked.
    "Dandy," I muttered.
"Ah, Jhonny, she's just in a bad mood," Mia walked up to grab a water. "Ignore her."
"Whatever." Jhonny shrugged, hitting the bass drum.
"I think i'm flat." Rachel strummed her guitar. "Alex, wheres the tuner?"
He handed her the small metal rectangle and a cord. I never knew much about guitars, but doesnt it make your guitar sound right? I play the flute, not the guitar. Well, i also play the violin... Those are my only high points in Seth's band. I do that when they need it.
Alex put his guitar strap on his bright red guitar, putting it over his shoulder. "Okay, let's start with..." He pondered.
    "With..." Rachel added.
"Seth, what song should we start with?" He asked. "I don't think we should start with Chains but..."
Seth smiled at me. "How about one that Alice plays in? Like Memory."
I stood, taking my violin from Alex's amp. It was blue and purple and black, my favorete colors. I put a chain onit to make it look cool, but it looks kinda metal now.
"E flat, that's what we start on, right?" I played an e flat.
Jhonny hit his drums, and we began. "One, two," He counted. As I started, I couldn't help but stare at seth, his hands on the bass, his glare definant... I wish he would love me back.
