• Chapter 10 part 4: a visit from the heavens and the final blow!

    Kin felt helpless, he could no longer move and as he stood there motionless he thought of all his friends; of Travis who gave his life to help him, of akako who was now heartbroken over Travis’s death, and of kyo the girl whom he so dearly loved and showed him compassion when no one else would. “I’ve failed all of them” he said to him self “I’ve failed” just as all hope seemed lost a white light filled the room around kin, “you have not failed” whispered a voice “this is just the beginning!” kin looked around but saw nothing “who’s there!?” he asked weakly, just then an older looking man appeared in front of him, he had long white flowing hair and his eyes where a piercing yellow color like that of the moon, he also wore a white men’s kimono which also flowed like the clouds that passed over the moon at night. “Who are you?” asked kin his eyes now wide, “my name is uasgi” the older man told kin “I’m your grandfather” kin stayed quite for a moment “m-my grandfather?” he asked confusedly “you mean to say im related to the moon god?!” “yes that your are” said usagi placing his hand on kin’s shoulder “that’s what your father tried to tell you before he died that day, he tried to tell you that he was my second son and that you were the reincarnation of my first son azu.” He explained to kin. “I knew I had the powers of a god” said kin “but I what I didn’t know was that I was related to the moon god.” “And now you know” said usagi with a smile, but his smile did not last kin could see the concern in usagi’s face “you must stop my son radion” he told kin “if the darkness should spread beyond the azure forest, all life in this world will cease to exist!” “But what can I do?” asked kin “its hopeless, I’m trapped by the darkness, I can’t move and I’m almost completely tainted by it!” he said hopelessly “you know the move that master radion spoke of when he told you how your home was destroyed?” usagi asked kin “you mean the super nova?” asked kin “yes” replied usagi “believe it or not, but you are strong enough to use that move! But you must make a choice, whether you will absorb the darkness and conceal it within your own body, or not use the super nova at all! It’s up to you!” usagi told him “I’m going to use it!” kin said “I’m going to use the super nova!” “Then I bid you good luck” said usagi “now” said kin “I know how I can win!” he then took in a deep and shouted out the words “S-SUPER NOVA!” just then the winds around kin began to swirl and then were suddenly pulled inward toward him, they were being sucked into a blackened sphere that hovered just inches away from him. “W-WHAT!” master radion growled “how can this be? how can that little runt be able to use the super nova?” As radion watched in disbelief he hadn’t noticed the black mist-like clouds being pulled toward kin, “what!? NO!” master radion shouted “he’s pulling in the darkness! my powers!” “You will no longer be tainted!” said kin “because I’m going to purify all the darkness in the world including yours!” “You won’t be able to conceal that much darkness in you!” master radion chuckled “you’ll die” “I don’t have to” answered kin “and you’ll see why soon” the sphere that was hovering in front kin was beginning to grow larger with every dark cloud of mist that entered it! “Now” said kin “now that I have collected all the darkness of the world I can unleash the final blow!” he said “what!?” master radion yelled “what are you going to do?” kin looked down at radion “this!” he shouted “SERINE UNIVERS!!!! Purify all who are tainted by the darkness!” radions eyes grew huge as he watched kin now hovering high above him “NO! NOOOOOO!!!!” radion screamed as a shock wave of light filled the room, “this is my true form!” said kin he now bore the wings of an angel and his clothes had changed too, instead of wearing his brown tattered trench coat he wore a white long jacket with a black dragon embroidered down the side, and instead of his torn up black pants he wore white pants with black dragons embroidered on the cuffs, he also wore a blue turtleneck shirt where a white one had been! And at his side he held his sword the one given to him by Travis. “This is the real me” said kin “and I’m a lot stronger then you think radion!” the shock wave that kin had set free traveled through the palace and even thru the entire valley restoring the azure forest, “that burst of light!” thought kyo as she watched from atop the hill “that had to be kin! He won!” meanwhile in the palace kin was no longer floating in the air he had been gently lowered down, but he could no longer stand; he was weak from using the super nova and the serine universe. He had since collapsed and was now lying on his back staring at the ceiling, “I won” he said “and “I found my true power” he looked over at radion’s lifeless body he was looking off to the side, his eyes wide open; but he was not moving and he was not breathing…radion was dead! Kin had indeed won! …….
