Chapter 6; My past…
I stare out my window.
“I want to know more about your relationship with Amaterasu.” Yuuta says finally. I stare at him. No one had asked me about that in over say, 200 years. I sigh.
“It will take all night to explain, so I’ll write it down for you and the other recruits to see if you please.” I sigh. Yuuta smiles, turns, and leaves. I head to my desk. I look down at a scroll, placed so that I can write.
When I was little, I was taught that the dark lord Yami knew all. He, being Yami, would chose one boy stuck in the middle of the Calestrials, and the Moon tribe; moi. I was chosen to go onto the Ark of Yamoto, and head to the Calestrial Plain. I was to kill Amaterasu, Shiranui then, at first sight. I landed, and Yami, in human form, grabbed my shoulder.
“Don’t mess this up boy.” He growled, and left. I nodded. I walked off, and the door shut behind moi. I looked, and it was. I sighed. I saw a white wolf jumping towards me. It had amazing grace, skill, and balance. I almost gasped, if it wasn’t Amaterasu. The dog was carrying a bone. She dropped it right at my feet. I picked the bone up, stared at Amaterasu in disbelief as she was willing to give me a weapon to kill her with, and barked playfully. I raised the bone, and she braced to run. I swung down at her, but let the bone go before it hit her. The bone went flying, and she ran after it. I watched in disbelief. She would chase after it? I thought. The dog skipped back, bone in her mouth, and wagged her tail. I had to smile. A, no, the best goddess in the whole universe, was chasing after something as stupid as a bone? How ridicules! But, it was fun. I kept throwing the bone for her, until I started to feel faint. Yami. I had forgotten to kill her. I started to feel pressure on my chest. I started to gasp for air. Shiranui saw this, and instantly lunged forward. Yami, in true form, was magically crushing moi. Shiranui stood there, bravely defending me. I had not fainted, but I watched as Yami was thrown back. An animal maybe one thousand times smaller than him was winning. I almost got up to help Yami, but then I thought about the fetch game Shiranui and I played. I sat there, gasping for air. I fainted from lack of oxygen to my system.
When I woke up, I was lying in an attic. I saw Shiranui lying next to me. She stared at me, almost glairing. That look made me look away. I sat up, and sighed.
“I cannot trust you. You were sent to kill me.” she growled. I looked at my thighs. I thought about it for a while. I was, but that didn’t mean I would.
“No child in the moon tribe would be my friend. Yami was there as sort of a friend. Now I realize he was just using my lack of friends to get to you and kill you. I just realized this now, and when you played fetch with me you didn’t seem to care about my red eyes and blonde hair.” I told her. Shiranui looked away. I started to feel faint. I fell onto the pillow, and I felt my eyes roll back into my head. I closed my eyes, ready to die. A fever, sent by Yami himself, would surely kill me. I felt a dog bite my neck. A n**, so it wouldn’t kill me. I felt warm fur then. I began to pant. The fever was getting worse by the second. I started to pant. I felt hands take me off of the wolf’s back. I was laid on top of a bed. I tasted a bad substance, and the fever retreated after maybe a few days. I weakly opened my eyes. Shiranui was sitting over me. She was looking down at my face. She licked it. I smiled. And for the first time, I felt glad about one of the bad choices I’d done.
“Hey, Amaterasu, why does everyone here hate me?” I asked.
“They hate all of the moon tribe, including you, even though you are a good boy.” She told me telepathically.
“Why don’t you hate me?” I asked her.
“No one would play with me. You did. I am your doggie now. And I can feel the good person within you.” she told moi. I smiled.
A few years later…
Yami and his men attacked about ten years later. I was six in human years, but I was fourteen. I raised pillow talk, and fought one of the wrenches I’d created (mentioned earlier, chapter 1) and it was Orochi. I had almost died, but Amaterasu was at my side. I fell off of the Calestrial Plain, when Orochi knocked me off, fallowed by Orochi, Amaterasu, and the Ark of Yamoto.
I woke up in snow. I was suffering from Hypothermia, I was getting tired.
“Sh…Shiran…Shiranui…” I said through chattering teeth. She came over and placed me on her back. I don’t need to tell you the minor details, so I was taken to my father after visiting the doctor.
I woke up in a nice bed. The Priest was looming over me, smiling. He handed me a green hat that looked like a bird’s head. The eyes were white. The “wings” where white but on the tips of the feathers were red. I put the hat on.
“I heard that every monster was to kill you on sight. So without blond hair, they can’t find you.” The Priest said. I smiled. He smiled back. I lived there for a while, happy, but I traveled a lot when Amaterasu decided to kill Orochi, and then we come to here.
Now you know how to make fun of me next time you want to strike a raw nerve.
