• Chapter 2
"Amber, where's the rabbit?" Ari asked, reaching the bottom of the stairs. "I don't know. He must've found a hole and crawled out of the room." Amber answered, plopping the box in her hands down next to the large dresser."Well, that sould be about it." She muttered, accidently pulling the dresser forward, revealing an old door. "Hey, Ari. Look at this." She pointed out, pulling her friend to the door. "I thought this place didn't have any exits." Ari reached for the knob of the door, only to have her hand slapped. "What do you think you're doing? We can't just open it! What if someone was on the other side?" Amber chided her friend, not noticing a shadowed figure enter the room through the door. "Well, how do you know someone is on the otherside if you're on the otherside?" A raspy voice came from behind, making both girls jump. "Who are you?" Ari asked clinging to Amber for dear life. "That is unimportant. The real question is 'who are you?'." The shadowed figure gave them a toothy grin, causin them to shiver even more. "Well, since my job scaring you two is finished, I'll be going." He slipped through the opened door with his grin still plastered on his face. "Wait!" Amber ran for the door, dragging Ari with her. She had just jerked it open when she tripped over the door stop and fell into the inky darkness.
