“Luna, you're crazy!"
The 6'4" wolf girl turned from her telescope. The pure white fur that covered her body seemed to stand on end as her amethyst eyes rested on her brother, a slate grey wolf of the same height that stood in the doorway. Her five-fingered paw touched the sky blue leather collar around her neck, from it hung alternating suns and stars. The wolf boy looked out the window at the night sky where the red moon Lerk and the blue moon Merkal were cast a mixed, purplish light over the Canine world of Sirius.
"I'm not crazy Morgo, just passionate"
Morgo sighed, Luna's name meant 'wise one' in Caninus, the language they spoke, and at the moment she wasn't acting very wise.
"Come on Lu, so you think you say a spacecraft, it was probably nothing."
Luna growled, which caused the fur on her neck to ripple slightly, Morgo stepped back,
"I don’t think brother! I know!"
Morgo was about to interrupt but Luna glared at him with a look that could kill.
"AND I know what was inside it!"
Morgo snorted "Not your Man theory again?"
Luna sniffed with disdain "Yes my Man theory, there was a human in that in that craft!"
Morgo held in his urge to laugh with difficulty.
"A human Luna? The furless child's tale?"
Luna growled, "I saw it you know!"
Morgo began to laugh "Oh yes, and I ate silver for breakfast this morning!"
Silver was a deadly substance for the Canine-folk of Sirius; even touching it could prove fatal. Luna whined
"Don’t joke about that Morgo, and I know I saw a human on that craft!"
Morgo snorted and dropped on all fours.
"Well I'm leaving, I apparently can't talk you out of making a fool of yourself"
He padded out of the cave and through the city. He thought back to how they had gone to college together and now were in two rival science labs, both bent of destroying each other. He would have to report to headquarters. Morgo picked up a run and raced through the streets of the canine city of Lupis. He soon was in the business district, the wind whistled through his fur as he stopped in front of a white building. He stood on his hind legs again and put on a lab coat.
The alternatied leaf and flower charms on his own navy blue collar jingled together as he walked through the building. He stopped short at a door and quietly knocked.
"Come in"
He opens the door and walks in, taking his place in a chair. A large coyote-man with a graying muzzle spoke.
"Report?"
Morgo sighed, "She refused to give up sir."
A black jackal-woman slammed her paw on a table.
"Outrageous, if they discover the humans before we know more about them and can publicize it..."
A large grey wolf-man growled, "That is not an option!"
Then a small dingo girl chuckled maliciously. "I know of a way"
The people at the table look at each other and nodded she took out a bag full of grey powder and everyone cringed. She slide it acrossed the table to Morgo.
"You know what to do"
Morgo picks up the bag of powdered silver gingerly, he smirks and places it in his pocket.
