• Chapter 1

I have never really noticed how hard it is to sleep on a noisy train, until now.
The ripped up and dirty leather seats make me really uncomfortable, thinking of who or what had been there in the past. The things that they did. Urgh, thinking about it makes me nervous.
And the train that never stops shaking side to side.
You'd think that they would use magic to make the transport a better way of getting around, would certainly make my life easier. But magic is not like the magic in fairytales or movies. I mean, this is some dark stuff. Mess around with it and you wont be so lucky, well just the amateurs.
I look to my right, seeing my reflection in the dark train window. Hmm, not bad. I guess playing football back in Melbourne has kept me fit and healthy, and good looking of course. Who could resist my manly jaw and handsome face? Not to mention perfect black spiked hair and my piercing blue eyes.
"Now arriving in Port Hollows!" The announcement scared the crap out of me! As usual, I looked around to see if anyone were looking, which was pretty stupid considering the fact that I was alone and that I have been alone for the past six hours.
For those of you who don't know where Port Hollows is, let me give a brief explanation.
There are seven visible continents on the Earth: Antarctica, North and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.
What the humans don't know is that there are four other continents surrounded by a supernatural barrier which doesn't allow the human eye to see or interact with, unless the humans were born in a supernatural enviroment.
Port Hollows is the supernatural continent ( a.k.a. Linke) just to the right from Australia and New Zealand.
I used to live in Melbourne you see I was born there and stayed there my whole seventeen years with a whole lot of drama happening to me.
At the age of four, my mother died a very odd death.
At six years old, I could move objects around just be glaring at them.
And when i was mad, I would turn green and become the Hulk! I'm just kidding, my eyes would simply fill themselves up with a strange black liguid, making me look like a demon, and then I would be shooting waves of black smog in all four directions.
After that little incident, my dad explained that I was a warlock. At first I was really excited. Growing up to be all green and masculine, having big warts on my face, eating little children when I get older. You know, just like in the online games.
Dad's explanation was completely different. I was so disappointed. I was really looking foward to growing up all big and green. Smashing everything and everyone in my path, just like the hulk.
But stereotypes are a very powerful weapon towards the people who do not know the truth. The Warlocks are a supernatural race united with "The Umbre" group; along with the vampires and therians. We are just like any other human but the bonus features. We have genes known as "Rush". This so called rush usually fills up our eyes when we are projecting. This is the art of releasing bottled up emotions into the atmosphere, giving it a visible shape and role. Rush can also be amitted around our body giving us super human abilities. On the down side, we can't fly.
"Now in Port Hollows. We hope you have enjoyed your journey here." Oh crap. Scared again. I should start paying more attention my public humiliation then thinking about my life story.
I better check my name tag to see if it's alright, after all, my aunt Lydia wont be able to recognise me. It's been eight years since we met up, and now I'm going to live with her.
Well the inking is fine, letters are readable. She will have no problem finding her nephew, Jacarta Monocle.
