• Alisa

One night whilst walking through the local market, a messenger picked me out of the crowd. The king wanted to see me at the castle. The king was kind and caring, and only a ripe age of eighteen. He was older than I, I am seventeen. After taking a short ride on the private tram, I arrived at the castle. It's exterior was beautiful, and stunning. It's golden dome shone in the sunlight. As I walked to the doors, I envied the king, he had it all. Money, power, and women. Well, actually he didn't have women. His last love attempted to kill him. He banished all of his bed-mates from the castle, making him lonesome. Opening the doors to the throne room, the guard patted my back. "It is a pleasure to have you here, in the castle. You are a lucky girl." What was he talking about? Why was I lucky? There was only one way to find out, and it was the king. Once I got situated on a chair, the king came out. King Vlad, he was beautiful. Vlad had beautiful green eyes, shoulder length blond hair. And his bronze skin, looked greasy. Not a bad greasy, a good one. Vlad's beauty gave me shivers. His bright green eyes, looked me up and down, as he smiled. "You called me, my King?" I said as I knelt on the ground before him. "Alisa, you my dear. You are going to be my queen" As Vlad said this, my heart felt like it was going to stop. He took my hand, as he helped me up. "Your honor...I... I don't know what to say" I said stuttering a few times. He smiled softly at me, "You want to say you will rule with me." He was right, I wanted to be with him, more than anything, but the rumors I heard about him. Were they true? Rumor was he wasn't human, people said he was a demon. I couldn't believe these rumors. "Vlad, let us be King, and Queen!" I said as I looked up at him. I saw something flash in his face, something evil, I removed it from my mind almost immediately. We held hands as he took me into what was supposed to be my "bedroom" but something puzzled me. There was nothing in the room except for a raised marble slab, long enough to fit a grown man. It was a rusty color, and it radiated fear into me. "Vlad, I don't like this room. Can we leave?" I said as he led me further into the room. "Sorry my dear Alisa, but you are my sacrifice." He said this calmly, he was serious! "Vlad, what are you doing?" I said as I felt my body become paralyzed. I couldn't move, but I could talk. "Vlad, stop! Please don't do this!" I yelled as he picked me up, and gently set me on the marble. I know realized the rust color was actually dried blood. The rumor was true. Vlad was a demon. Before I knew it I was chained to the slab. Vlad was looking over me, smiling. "Otra vahila itron estsre!" He chanted as he began to glow a dark purple. 'Vlad...you will die. And I will make sure of it." I hissed at him as he pulled out a dagger. The dagger was encrusted with jewels and was made of pure gold. "I won't die, because you won't live to confirm those damn rumors!" He whispered into my ear, before, nipping it with his teeth. After a few more chants, his body was glowing a bright purple. "Goodbye, Alisa" He said bringing the knife down on my chest.
