tab It's dark. The only thing visible is the door to the theater, lit up and ever-so enticing. Entering, there is a strange emotion held in the air, enchanting... and something more.
tab Moving along the front row, a familiar face appears. I smile, he waves. I sit in the seat beside him, happy for the company. As soon as I do so, the house lights drop to a dim, artificial twilight, and the curtains rise.
tab The play goes on, but I don't recognize the scenes. A romance, clearly, but not a classic. I pay it no mind, however, because the air calls importance to itself. The air is charged with excitement for some unknown happening. The excitement, and the underlying aroma of curiosity, are enough to distract me from the world.
tab Then something happens. The air starts to change flavors, from anticipation to something sweeter. In the distance between my mind and my body, I feel something. I look down, and notice my fingers intertwined with someone elses- His.
tab All of a sudden, it hits me. This is it, the moment that the sweet, stinging air is waiting for. There's no one else in the world, nothing else matters. The play, the drama filled with romance, tears, and laughter, is us. So I lay my head on his shoulder, and I sigh.
tab I wake up feeling refreshed. I get dressed in something nice, and apply makeup to enhance my looks. Tonight, I have a ticket for the theater.
