Days after the murder my sister and I were questioned by people whom were police officers trying to find the person that killed out family.
"Josiah can you tell me what you remember most?" The man whos name was Detective Martinez asked.
I sat there clutching the bear my mother and father got me for my birthday which was only days before the murder.
Having the question being told to me I started crying before I answered in soft sobs.
"The screams of all my family and how much blood there was." I answered finally.
"I know it must be hard son but I need to know. Can you tell me what the man looked like?"
Josiah remembered the mans face.
"Yes. He had a black hair colour, but I hardly remember it, I was only trying to get my brothers and sisters out. Clarice was the first one I got out and she's the youngest. I'm upset because it was only her and I remember blood everywhere." He said before answering the question.
"His eyes were green and he had a tall figure, he was wearing all black."
That's when I burst into tears. I couldn't help it. This memory was more pain that I ever wanted before. That's when the cops left me alone.
You don't know pain until you know the pain that you were the only one to be able to save your family.
Failing hurt me more than anything.
Living with grandma and grandpa was nice, but she didn't make my lunch, she wasn't mommy and I wanted mommy back.
"I want mom back" I screamed one day before tearing up.
" She made my peanut butter and jelly sandwich and always asked if I wanted chips and salsa, or chips, pudding and a cheese stick. She always put my laundry away with me. I WANT MOMMY BACK!!" I screamed at my grandmother before running out of the house with tears in my eyes.
I ran to the yellow tape of what was around my house. I wanted my room back, my house back my mommy back.
I ran passed the yellow tape and upto the front door. I started throwing a fit and started hitting the door. It was locked and I wanted my life back.
I wanted the smell mommy's cooking every morning for daddy. I wanted her warm hugs.
Instead I'll never have that again.
I ran back to grandmas and ran to my bed and sobbed into the bed.
Grandma's will never be my home. She'll never have my heart.
She'll never be my mother.
I just sobbed and wished I could ahve Garet, Derek, Siera, Jasmine and Micheal to play with right now.
Instead I knew they were dead.
I would have to go to their funeral; My sister would have to grow up without the other kids between them.
My life sucked bad right now.
To make matters worse.
I don't know what to do.
A few days later I was brought into the police station to see if I could tell which one was him.
I stood in front of that window and only one man caught my eye.
I looked into his eyes and started screaming .
"GET ME OUT OF HERE" I screamed curling up to my grandma. He was looking right at me.
"He's going to kill me" I screamed more.
He was really starting to get really scared.
"Josiah which one is he." The dectective asked.
"That one!" I pointed to him before running out of the room.
I sat in the bathroom crying.
He killed my family and I can't have him hurt me.
