A few hours had passed. The dragon landed on a Cliffside cave a few miles away from the city. The wounded man woke up slowly. His eyes slowly took in where he was. He tried to sit up, but he heard someone say from beside him:
“Don’t get up. You’ll tear the wound open again.”
The man looked over into the corner of the cave and his eyes widened. In the corner of the cave, walking toward him, he saw a pure white eastern dragon. With icy-blue furs going all down its back. Her long whiskers moved in tune with her body.
“Who are you?” the man asked again, then winced in pain and gripped his chest. The dragon moved over to him, and took the bandage off him.
“My name is Jil. Moreover, you should thank me. I saved your life.” the dragon put the bandage back on after taking a look at it.
“… thanks.” he looked outside the cave.
“And what about you? You have to have a name too.” Jil sat down next to him.
“… Spirit.” he said. Then, he looked at the ground and sighed. Jil looked out to where Spirit had been looking. She saw something sticking out of the ground a mile away. She stood up, and without saying a word to Spirit, she took off.
“… Great. Even a dragon can’t stand my presence…” Spirit said quietly. A few minutes passed, and suddenly, a greatsword was dropped at Spirit’s feet. It was a white sword, with a complicated design on the inside of the sword. The hilt was dark red, like his cape. The design had two lines going from the hilt all the way to the end of the sword. It had dark grey diamonds in it. Where the diamonds connected with each other and the end of the line, dark red triangles were formed. Each having a single black circle in them.
“..” Spirit looked over to Jil, who had lain down at the mouth of the cave.
“Why did you get this?” he asked her, and stood up very slowly, trying not to inflict pain upon himself.
“It seemed important to you… and didn’t I tell you specifically not to stand up?” Jil added the last part when Spirit grabbed onto her side.
“Sorry… I don’t like sleeping alone…” Spirit said as he put his back up against her and slid down slowly.
“…” Jil moved her eyes to look over at him, but he had already fallen asleep.
“… Who were those guys that were trying to kill him…?” she asked herself quietly.
