• "SAY SOMETHING!'
She opened her eyes her body cringing with pain as she sat up. Where was she? She was surrounded by white... white what? A village covered in white snow. Her village. The girl recognized the bodies sprawled out like paper men in the snow. The villagers she grew up with. The very same villager's who did nothing but watch as their children stoned her as a child. The child felt nothing for them but she did feel guilty. Her village was known as the white village of Purity and she had failed to protect the village as assigned. The boy still sat there staring at her in the snow. She had tried to attack the barrier before him but her efforts were completely bounced back the last time she tried she had been sprawled back so roughly she almost knocked herself out. She had to get past that barrier! "Who are you? you have a name don't you?" again the boy desperately wanted an answer. He was annoying. 'Who are you?" The girl asked reflecting the question back on him.
    "I just asked that."
    "And?"
    'Won't you answer?"
    "You first."
    "No, you first."
    "Ladies first."
The boy smiled. Anemone charged at the barrier once more the sword clanged against the invisible barrier. 'You'll never get through." She clenched her teeth and pushed harder. The barrier opened suddenly leaving only small enough space for her to fall through. She fell flat on her face. The barrier closed behind her. "Now you owe me," the boy replied. Her removed his hand from the barrier. Had he let her in? Impossible. The boy's movement was swift as he made her way to her side. She barely noticed. He sat beside her. "Now what is your name?" he asked. His silver eyes smiled at her. An alien warmth swallowed the girls heart. No one had ever smiled at her before. She shifted her gaze from him her perfect ivory skin blushing to the color of the pink sakura petals falling against the grown. Where had they come from? I don't know. The girl balled her fists and tucked them under her body. The cold weather had not removed the warmth in her heart.
    "My name is..."
The boy straightened his back eagerly, cherry blossoms rained from the trees harder as the wind became strong.
    "Anemone."
