• Hi, I’m Natalie Lynn Woods. I’m going to tell you my story. A week ago I was a normal person like you and your friends. Then everything changed when I met my now best friend, Joy Davis, and her family. They seemed nice when I met them at a coffee while I was with my twin brother Alex. We live in L.A, California. I’ve lived here most of my life. I’m sixteen and I live in an apartment with Alex since our parents are archeologist. Right now they are in Egypt. My brother and I are home schooled. Alex and I are always together, I mean you can’t separate us from each other. Being home-school and all we never really made friends so we not only twins but best friends, we look out for each other. Anyways this is a story about how our lives got flipped upside down. Now he and I have to help joy save the world. It’s a crazy story but here goes.
    Chapter 1
    It all started on that one morning last week. It was Friday, July 13th my brother and I were walking in the park talking and joking around like we do once or twice a week. Alex suddenly grabs my wrist and drags me into a coffee shop. “Why did you drag me here?” I asked him. “Her” he said pointing to a girl in a red and black dress texting on her phone. “Hi I’m Alex” he said sitting down next to her. “Hi I’m Joy” she said smiling at him then at me. “Hi I’m Natalie” I said sitting down too. “Nice to meet the both of you:” She said. “I like your dress” I said. “Thanks I like your shirt” She said. “Are you new here?” Alex asked her. “Yeah I am I just moved here from Italy” She said. “Cool I’ve always wanted to go to Italy” Alex said. “It’s a really nice place” Joy said as she looked at the clock. “Great their late” she muttered. “Who’s late?” I asked. “My parents” She said then suddenly ‘Bury me alive’ started playing from her phone. She quickly picked it up and answered it. “Hello?” she said. “Yeah I’m at the coffee shop by the park. Yeah I’m sitting with my new friends Natalie and her brother Alex” joy said.
    A few minutes after joy hung up and couple walked in and hugged her. “Oh hello you must be Natalie and Alex” The woman said. “Yes ma’am” I said. “Are you two twins?” the man asked. “Yes sir” Alex said. “It’s nice to meet the both of you” the woman said smiling. “Same here ma’am” I said smiling back. “I’m Mrs. Davis, Joy’s mom” the woman said. Mr. and Mrs. Davis sat down and ordered something to drink. “Hey mom, dad, can Natalie and Alex come over for a little bit?” Joy asked. “If it’s ok with their parents” Her mom said. “Our parents aren’t here and they don’t have cell phones where they are” I said. “Are they dead?” Joy asked. “No their archeologist and right now they’re in Egypt on a dig and they won’t be home for a few more months” Alex said. “Ok I guess its ok for a little bit sweetie” Joy’s mom said. “Yay” joy said as she got up and started walking off. “Wait up joy” I said getting up and walked after her. Alex ran up to her. When he reached joy he started talking to her.
    Once we were at joy’s house joy dragged me to her room. She ran to her speaker and turned it on. As soon as the song started I knew what song it was. “Take a photograph, It'll be the last, Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here, I don't have a past I just have a chance, Not a family or honest plea remains to say, Rain, rain go away, Come again another day, All the world is waiting for the sun. Is it you I want or just the notion, of a heart to wrap around so I can find my way around?” I sang out loud. Joy just stood there staring at me. Then we heard a knock on the door. “Joy someone is here to see you” Alex called from the living room. Joy and I walked to the living room to see a cute guy standing there. “Hey joy” he said. “Hey josh” Joy said hugging him. “Who is this?” he asked looking at me. “Hi I’m Natalie” I said “I’m josh it’s nice to meet you Natalie” josh said. “Same here” I said. Joy looked at my face and smiled. “Natalie come on I need your help with something in my room” joy said pulling me into her room yet again. “Oh my god you like josh don’t you?” she asked. “What? No” I said looking down. “Don’t lie to me I know you do now come with me so we can pick out a swim suit” she said walking to her dresser. After a few minutes I found one I like. When she got hers she went and got it on. “Go try that one on and I’ll wait out here” she said. “Why did I need to try on a swim suit?” I asked. “We’re going swimming” was all joy said as she dragged me into the bathroom and grabbed four towels and shoved them into a bag. On the way out of her room she grabbed a few more things and stuffed them into her bag. She went into another room and came out with a pair of shorts. She tossed them to Alex. “Here change into these I think they will fit you” She said. “Why?” he asked. “We’re going swimming now hurry up Alex” She said sitting down next to me. “Do you know how to swim?” Joy asked me. “Yeah and Alex does too”
