Who needs light...
A Broken Serenade
Nervous needles pierce my skin,
I pray I die when I walk in,
And lay myself down on a shroud
To float up high upon a cloud.
Don't bring me down if I'm up there,
Don't lift me up when I'm down here,
'Cause I deserve to go away,
And you won't see me everyday.
Your twisted thoughts can stain your eyes,
And show your smile's a disguise.
The tears will never sacrifice
The one you left alone that night.
So, hear me call out far away
That I will not forget that day
You slapped my face and slammed the door
And left me crying on the floor.
One hundred roses cannot make
The love I had with that mistake
I'll tie this knot around my neck
Hide signs of life I cannot check
'Cause I can't bear to see you leave
Without attention to my pleads
So I will float above the floor
Shocked when you come through the door.
...when we're living in the dark?

Good job, but the man's fate is deplorable. I can't believe he'd do that. - Report As Spam
