In the middle of a blizzard ,if you looked hard enough, you would see the form of a person walking through the storm. if you looked even closer you could see it was a fourteen-year old girl, and if you were from the village in the valley you would realize this girl is Rue. the strange young girl that had recently come with her strange family. She was quite beautiful with long, shiny, chocolate hair and big chocolate doe eyes, and a small petite form. Those eyes normally showed happiness and cheer, but now they showed sorrow and grief as tears endlessly pored down her face. She clutched her cloak around her tightly and tried to ignore the bitter cold. She had to keep going for the sake of her family she had to find help. Even now she could hear there scrams and her mothers last words.
"Rue? Rue honey listen to your mother." Rue stopped and looked at her mother silently sensing the urgent tone in her mothers voice. I want you to go and hide behind the house in the forest. Take a cloak and hide there until sundown if your father, brother , or I do not come to get you I want you to run as fast as you can away from here. OK?" Before she could answer her father and older brother walked in wielding their swords. "Mom? what's going on? Why do you want me to do this? What do you mean if you don't come to get me?" her eyes clouded up with tears as she looked at her family. Her mother hugged her and tried to calm her fears. "Shh... it's OK everything will be all right." Rue started sobbing and everyone came in to comfort her and tell her it be all right. No one noticed the hoof-beats coming closer to there home, or the sound of swords coming out of their sheaths, or the sound of silent footsteps entering their home.
Suddenly Rue felt her mother's hand drop, something sharp brushed against her chest and something warm, wet, and thick soaked into her clothes. "Mom? mom what happened? Mom?!' Her mother slowly backed away from Rue to reveal the sharp tip of a sword producing from her stomach. The world went quite as her mother turned deathly white and slowly looked up at her daughter with clouded eyes. Everything slowed as she whispered the last three words she would ever say to her beautiful daughter.
"I love you" Then Rue watched as her mother was ripped in two. Everything was slow as she watched the two half's of her mother fall to the ground. Her brother and father sprang in to attack the intruder and everything gradually came back. "- Did you hear me I told you to run away Rue go! Now do what your mother told you to do! Get your brothers cloak and flee don't hide, just run and don't stop!" Rue backed out of the room and turned to the window the cloak was there waiting. She looked back at her brother and father one last time. Two more men had come in and they were fighting a losing battle. Then she grabbed the cloak jumped out the window and fled sobbing into the night as the screams of her father and brother followed closely behind. She ran all that night and into the next day when the blizzard came. Which is where she is now. Freezing, hungry and tiered, but she trudges on in the cold until she comes to a clearing there the snow snow stops and she looks up surprised only to feel her heart drop. There coming toward her is a giant Ebony lizard with bat wings and spikes down it's tail coming directly for her. He was a dragon a creature not supposed to exist. He let out a jet of fire and landed in front of her, his scales glittering like freshly polished armor.
To Rue's surprise the dragon spoke: "Pitiful human why do you infect this world so? How I wished you and your kind did not infect this world. No matter, I'll just have to rid you and your kind from this place and then this world will be perfect! And you young human have the glorious honor of being the first pest to die for the perfect world to come." The only warning of the dragons pounce was the glittering on it's blood red eyes as he scratched her up. She did not run for she felt as if fate was telling her she would not live to see another year. Not ten minuets later the dragon left feeling pleased with himself for ridding the world of it's first pest.
Rue was still alive but only just her back and stomach were shredded and her limbs were all broken she told herself this is it and and submitted to the darkness. But, as luck would have it a kindly wizard had seen the dragon and feared the worst, and he came upon her broken bleeding body. "Oh, no no this won't do at all such a young pretty lady shouldn't die so soon i'll see what i can do." The wizard mumbled "Serane" and her wounds closed to leave dark scars."Well I guess that all i can do here i take you with me and try to mend some of that broken bone hmm? Tazalicus" Then the wizard and rue disappeared leaving only the blood stain behind.
A/n should I continue or not? If anyone likes it I will and this is by far the shortest chapter I will do if I continue. biggrin
