• We see zombie hands scratching on the school entrance door. The hisses and growls of the infected surround the front entrance.

    INT. LOBBY. DAY.

    Everyone has their attention to Xavier and Ryan. Olivia is holding Emily. Damon and other survivors are crowded around them.

    Xavier: “Well? Explain yourself!”

    Phoenix: (to Ryan) “You told us she was dead!”

    Ryan: “I-I didn’t know they-“

    Xavier: “Don’t ******** lie now! You’re so full of s**t!”

    Damon: “Xavier, please!!”

    Xavier: “You told us you KNEW she was dead!”

    (Beat)

    Emily: “Ryan…what is this all about?”

    They suddenly hear cracks from the door. The zombies are starting to break in. The survivors start to panic and leave the lobby.

    Officer Carlos: “They’re coming in!”

    Jaxon: “Michael, Carlos, get everyone to the upper level! Board up the doors!”

    Michael: “Everyone come on!”

    Jaxon: (to Xavier, Phoenix and Ryan) “That means you guys too!”

    Xavier: “Leave this killer here.”

    Ryan: “I didn’t ******** kill anyone!”

    Damon: “Guys, this isn’t the time, let’s GO!”

    The doors then shatter and zombies pour in. The rest of everyone quickly runs out the lobby. Before Jaxon and Damon could board up the doors to the commons, the zombies break through the door.

    All the survivors begin to panic and they run. Jaxon, Officer Carlos and Michael begin shooting the zombies.

    INT. LIBRARY.

    Kierra, Mitchel and Sarah hear the commotion. The other survivors and the kids get up and wonder what the commotion is all about.

    Megan: What was that?

    She holds Liam close.

    Mitchel: I don’t know…I’m gonna check it out.

    Mitchel, Sarah and a few other survivors slowly approach the door. Kierra is looking around, looking very frightened. Mitchel opens the door and see zombies in the commons.

    Mitchel: “s**t!!!”

    Zombies start for the door. Mitchel and the others hurry inside and as they try to close it, a whole bunch of zombie hands get in between, trying to get in the library. The survivors panic and scream as Mitchel and a few adults are trying to push the door back.

    Sarah: “Dad!”

    Mitchel: “Sarah, get the kids to the play room, NOW!”

    Megan: “Come on!”

    Megan and Kierra do so. Sarah is looking at her dad for a quick second, then does what he asks. More adults go up and help push the door back. A zombie manages to scratch a male survivor. He starts yelling from pain and falls down.

    INT. STAIRWELL.

    Trevor is running down the stairs, with his gun in his hand, ready to kill zombies. As he reaches the bottom, two zombies start for him. Trevor kicks one zombie down and impales the other zombie in the head, pushing it down. Trevor turns to the other zombie and stomps on its head, killing it. Trevor continues to the commons.

    INT. COMMONS.

    Olivia, Damon, Emily, Xavier, Phoenix and other survivors are following officer Carlos and Michael to the stairwell. A hoard of zombies turns the corner, blocking them all from the stairs. Everyone screams and runs back.

    Michael: “OTHER WAY! QUICK! GO!”

    Zombies grab Emily but Olivia pulls her back in time before they can do anything. Zombies grab Officer Carlos and start biting on him. He yells from the pain.

    Michael: “NO! Officer Carlos!”

    Officer Carlos is brought down as blood splatters everywhere.
    More zombies grab other survivors running and start biting them. Screams of pain and terror fill the whole school as everyone runs the other way. Michael continues shooting the zombies.

    INT. STAIRWELL.

    Juno is walking down the stairs, far from the commons and suddenly hears slight moan from the bottom of the steps. He then starts to hear gnawing sounds down by the basement door. He slowly makes his way to the stairs, hearing slight hisses. He turns and sees a zombie chewing on a dead corpse. The zombie turns to him and roars.

    Juno quickly turns to get away, but a zombie jumps from the side of him and bites his cheek. Juno yells very loudly as the zombie rips his cheek off with its mouth, bringing him down. The other zombie stumbles over and bites Juno as well.


    INT. LIBRARY.

    Mitchel and the survivors are struggling a bit to keep the door up.

    Mitchel: “Damn! They’re strong!”

    Male Survivor: “What do we do??”

    Sarah, Megan and Kierra quickly run to Mitchel and the others, still trying to hold up the door.

    Mitchel: “You three; get that bookshelf over here to hold this door up!”

    Sarah: “Which one!”

    Mitchel: “That one!”

    He points to the shelf that’s near a wall, a few feet away from the door.

    Mitchel: “Come on!”

    Sarah, Kierra, Megan and a few others go behind the book shelf and begin pushing, inching the bookshelf closer. A loud bang from the door almost knocks everyone down, but they all stay put.

    INT. CAFETERIA.


    Craig is being chased by three zombies. He runs into the kitchen and hops over the counter to the cooking area. Zombies come in and reach their arms out to him, in front of the counter. He grabs a large cooking knife.

    Craig: “Come on! You ugly ********!”

    He impales the knife into a zombie’s chest and takes it out. It doesn’t do anything. Craig impales the knife into its neck and it still doesn’t collapse. Craig is wondering why, at a loss of what to do. More zombies come in the kitchen and reach their arms out.

    INT. COMMONS.


    Damon, Jaxon and Michael are shooting more zombies making their way to the back stairwell. Olivia glances at the nurses’ office.

    Olivia: “I’ll be right back!”

    Michael: “Where are you going??”

    Olivia hurries into the nurses’ office and shuts it. She runs to the cabinets and collects the medicine and first aid kid. She throws things she doesn’t need on the floor, trying to gather mandatory things. As she’s looking through the final cabinet, she hears crying from behind on of the nurses’ beds. Olivia, with caution slowly approaches the curtain.

    She quickly pulls it back and sees a man in a puddle of blood, scratched and bitten up. Olivia’s mouth drops from shock.

    Olivia: “Oh…my God.”

    Man: “Help me…please help…”

    Olivia kneels beside him and takes the first aid kits out and other medicine.

    Olivia: “Just bear with me, you’ll be fine! Just hang in there!”

    INT. KITCHEN.


    Craig impales a zombie in the eye and it collapses. Craig looks at the other doezen zombies surrounding him, with just the counter keeping them away. Jaxon comes in and shoots the zombies down.

    Jaxon: “Are you ok? Are you hurt??”

    Craig: “What the ******** is going on??”

    Jaxon: “Just come on!!”

    Craig hops over the counter and leaves with Jaxon.

    INT. BACK STAIRWELL.


    Michael and Damon lead everyone to the stairwell.

    Michael: “Everyone, hurry up, come on!”

    The survivors start running up the stairs.

    Before Xavier runs up the stairs, he turns to Damon.

    Xavier: “Where’s Kierra? Where’s Sarah?”

    Damon: “Jaxon is looking for them now. I’m about to go out and look for them myself.”

    Xavier: “Let me go-“

    Damon: “Xavier, please. Your place is upstairs right now. Keep Emily company.”

    (Beat)

    Xavier looks up and sees Ryan in the crowd, running up the stairs. He watches him closely. He looks at Damon again, then hurries upstairs.

    Damon: “I’m going.”

    Michael: (tosses him a gun.) “You might need that.”

    Damon looks at the gun, looks at Michael then runs down the hall.

    INT. LIBRARY.


    Sarah, Kierra, Megan and other survivors are pushing the bookshelf closer. The zombies continue to bang on the door.

    Mitchel: “You guys got this! Come on!”

    Male Survivor: “It won’t stay put!!”

    Kierra: “Come on, hurry!”

    The zombies push extremely hard causing almost everyone to lose balance, and makes Mitchel slip. A zombie head squeezes through the door and bites Mitchel’s hand. He starts yelling from the pain. The zombie starts chewing on his hand, as Mitchel is still trying to hold the door up, yelling.

    INT. NURSES’ OFFICE.


    As Olivia is trying to stop the bleeding, she sees that the man has died. Olivia looks at his body and starts to cry softly.

    Olivia: “oh my God…”

    She continues to cry and slowly gets up, upset that she couldn’t save his life. The man’s eyes open and he screeches, and reaches out to her. Olivia screams and jumps back. She looks at the zombie, hissing at her and growling. He starts crawling to her.

    Pause.

    Olivia: “I’m…so sorry.”

    She raises a small knife up and impales it in the zombie’s head, stabbing it numerous times. She throws the knife and slides down the wall, crying.

    INT. LIBRARY.


    Suddenly, the door busts open and the zombies come in. Everyone screams and runs to the back of the room. Sarah runs to her dad, and helps him to the back as Kierra helps him as well. Trevor hurries to the library door and whistles. The zombies turn around and Trevor uses his gun to shoot some zombies down.

    He then takes out his rifle and whacks it in zombie’s faces, snapping some of their necks. A zombie almost grabs Megan, but Trevor takes out his knife and stabs it in the head, killing it. Zombie bodies are sprawled out on the floor.

    Sarah: “Oh my God, dad are you ok??”

    Sarah and Kierra sit him down. Sarah rips off a strap of her shirt and wraps his bite with it.

    Trevor: “Is everyone ok?”

    No one answers. Everyone is in a state of shock, and crying softly. Trevor sees Mitchel and approaches him.

    Trevor: “What happened? Is he ok?”

    Mitchel: “I’m fine, I’m fine…just got bit.”

    Trevor has a very sad look on his face. He looks at Sarah, who is keeping him close and trying to comfort him. He looks around.

    Trevor: “Everyone to the upper level, quick.”

    They all do as he says. Sarah helps Mitchel up.

    Sarah: “Come on, dad.”

    Trevor looks at Mitchel and Sarah again. He shakes his head and leaves the library.

    INT. COMMONS.


    Olivia slowly opens the door from the nurses’ office and looks in the commons, extremely shocked and scared. There’s dozens of dead bodies on the floor. Blood is splattered almost everywhere on the walls and floor. Tears roll down her cheeks. She steps over some bodies, making her way to the stairwell.

    A zombie reaches for her, but she jumps back before it can grab her. Another zombie grabs her ankle. Olivia screams and jerks away, backing up against the wall. She sees Jaxon running from the other side of the commons.

    Jaxon: “Olivia!

    Olivia: “Jaxon!”

    Jaxon hurries to her Olivia goes to him and hugs him tight, crying.

    Jaxon: “It’s going to be okay…”

    Survivors from the library come out and are shocked from the bodies spread around. Sarah, Mitchel, Trevor and Kierra look at what happened.

    Kierra: “Oh my God…”

    Trevor: “Jesus.”

    Damon, Michael, Phoenix, Xavier, Craig and other survivors come out to see what has happened as well.

    Michael: “Jaxon…”

    Jaxon looks and sees how everyone is scared/sad/upset. He sees other survivors begin to cry, kneeling down beside their killed loved ones.

    Phoenix: “Wow…”

    A few people scream and they see Juno, as a zombie hissing and stumbling toward them.

    Craig: “Juno?”

    Phoenix: “Craig, that’s not him…”

    Craig: “What do you mean? It is him!”

    Phoenix: “It’s not him, Craig!”

    Jaxon raises his gun up to Juno.

    Craig: “What’re you doing??”

    Jaxon shoots Juno in the head.

    Craig: “No!!”

    He runs up to his body and starts to weep softly.

    Phoenix: “Craig…”

    He walks up to him and rests his hand on his shoulder. Craig weeps to himself, looking at Juno’s dead body.

    Michael: “Everyone, please…in the auditorium until further notice. Remain calm—“

    Xavier: “Are there any infected left?”

    (Beat)

    Jaxon: “Michael will escort you to the auditorium. Me and Trevor will search the school to be 100% sure.”

    Olivia: “There’s an infected in the nurses’ office…I killed it…”

    Jaxon looks at Trevor and he nods. He goes into the nurses’ office to take care of it. Everyone starts to follow Michael to the auditorium. Muttering and crying fills the commons.

    Sarah: “Olivia! My dad’s hurt.”

    Olivia goes and checks to see Mitchel’s bite mark. Kierra runs up to Xavier and Phoenix and they both hug her tightly.

    Phoenix: “Glad you’re okay.”

    Kierra: “I’m glad you guys are too.”

    Jaxon: “Damon, would you mind staying put with me for a minute?”

    Damon: “Yeah, sure. What is it?”

    Jaxon: “I’ll tell you in a bit…”

    Trevor comes out with the body wrapped up in a sheet and pulls it aside by the wall.

    Olivia: “Thankyou.”

    Trevor: “Yep…”

    He walks away. Olivia gestures Sarah and Mitchel to come into the office.
