Darkness filled the room with gloom
our flashlights searched in the night
shadows moved across the walls
we silently ran down the halls
they tripped over a few random toys
quietly they did both girls and boys
an eerie presence now realized
the children were really opening their eyes
a black figure formed near a door
they had no idea what was in store
secret whispered laughter entered their ears
now considering true their worst fears
the creature stared with claws out
the kids wondered what this was about
the house filled with terrified screams
alerting the neighbors out of their dreams
neighbors now bothered just said
you kids stop roughing and go to bed
one of the children turned on the light
the being disappeared from their sight
newly behind the children they were unaware
the creature slayed them in an unworthy scare
they were slayed by Nanoteth - the one eyed grim reaper
