    My summer
    camp adventure

We we're just passing by the last village, leaving behind the golden plains. The bus entered in a gigantic rainforest,it was like no other thing, its large trees were eating the sun's golden arrows. It was getting scary and cold.
Then all lighted up,colossal Maya temples we're rising from above, strange statues were telling the Maya's story, the priest sacrificing a child and two statues fighting with two mighty spears were saying the bloody part of the story, but the fabulous temples were showing how smarts the Maya were.
It was incredible to see it for real! Then I looked behind and seen about other fifteen temples, but, different, the other temples were overgrown, and the one in front of us was not. The teacher explained that the workers will come here next month to rebuild the other temples. She explained that the Mayas leaved the city and probably died from hunger because of the jungle that started to expand into their village, and so,the teacher started to teach us about the Maya. She told us important things like:,,The Maya is a MesoAmerican civilization that had a fully developed written language, appreciated for its art, architecture, mathematical and astronomical systems''. She said that the Maya village was established during the Preclassic period, witch it was long ago:between two thousand B.C. And and two hundred fifteen A.D.
I learned a lot of things, but when the teacher started talking about human sacrifices the class wasn't listening anymore, I understood them,no one wants to hear about things like human sacrifices,so the gang split up.
Before the adventure I thought that the Mayas were a friendly simple people but after the teacher told us about them I found out that they were not friendly and not simple at all!
