• One of the types of bullying is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is when someone threatens, torments, and harasses you from an interactive or digital technology. For example, mobile phones and the internet are used a lot to cyber bully people. Cyber bullying isn't always caused by people you know- it's equally possible that a stranger can start bullying you over the net.

Kids may send hateful or threatening messages to other kids, without realizing that while not said in real life, unkind or threatening messages are hurtful and very serious towards the victim itself. This affects the person’s life in reality. It will cause them to not socialize with anyone in real life. This will eventually lead to self-harming, suicidal ideation and suicidal acts, though this is very rare in some cases. It has happened in the past with depressed teens. Cyber bullying is caused by chatting to random people online or adding random people as friends. The person may reveal your information online then send you nasty text messages and emails.

If you are ever a victim of cyber bullying, you need to know what to do. Keep a record of the messages as this is crucial evidence for the police when they get involved. If it gets worse, tell someone you trust or know (preferably an adult). Contact your phone or internet service so they can block the senders. Also, do not reply to the messages because it will only get worse, this is what the person wants. Last of all, you must keep all your passwords and details private so no one can stalk you.

In conclusion, cyber bullying is wrong and should not be encouraged. If you are ever cyber bullied, get help straight away so the matter can be dealt with to make sure it will not happen again.
