You see the mountains spread before you,
Reaching for the sky
You watch the waves crash on the seashore
As little kids run by
You hear the wind blow through the trees,
The fall leaves fluttering
You talked to your best friend today
In a soft muttering
You smell the flowers in the air,
A fragrance on the breeze
You smell the scent of winter’s coming
A gentle Christmas freeze
But I will never hear these things,
Nor taste, or touch, or see,
Because my teenaged mother
Had no more love for me.

Description:
This was a poem I wrote from the point of a little child whose mother aborted her beofre she had a chance to live. When I wrote this, I imagined a young girl clothed in white watching the girl who would have been her best friend grow up and make friends and live her life. This young girl is talking to the girl who would have been her best friend about the life she wanted but could never have.
NOTE: Not written to offend anyone who is pro-abortion. If you're for abortion, just skip this over. - Date: 12/21/2008

READ BOTTEM COMMEN FIRST.
. I haven't even finished high school; if I lived I still wouldn't have been able to give the baby a good life. Just know that, we don't always choose to kill our babies, it just seems like it’s already chosen for us, like there is no real choice. And trust me; once you've been through abortion, you’re never the same. Ever. It seems to eat away at you, and you end up living your life being your own worst enemy. - Report As Spam

- I'm someone who had to have abortion, as having the baby would have killed me. I was going t go through with it, but my friends made me realize that by killing myself to have the baby, I'd be leaving a baby alone in the world. Seeing as I was raped, and the man who raped me was killed not long after, my baby wouldn't have had a father either. They would have had to live with their uncle; also my best friend. My pint here is, abortion is a horrible thing, I hate it, but it’s needed sometimes.

- This is one of the greatest poems I have ever read! You can imagine it so perfectly and in the end you can feel the pain. This poem really affected me and it goes to show why I am against abortions. 5/5 Great Job!
