Though sad it was,
She said just because
He was a great man,
She said we needn’t ban,
A single sad sliver of doubt.
Though there was no bout
Of uncertain fear
From those he held near,
Every eye contained sorrow,
Of what was to come on the morrow.
She condoled them,
For they turned dim.
“Do not worry! He will live
On in your hearts! Give
It time, pain does not vanish
In a single day. Do not banish
His soul from you. He will
Live on! Now go and fill your mind with peace
Don’t let this man cease
To be alive!” she cried.
The people looked on in pride.
They cried together
“This storm we will weather!
Though he is gone!
He will live on,
In our hearts, souls, and mind!”
The good folk were kind,
For he is dead now.
The great man had taken his final bow.
He is missed,
Though we insist,
Please feel no fear.
He is here,
Within everyone
And within none.
He was a loved person.
Things here can not worsen.
Pain was left behind, blind.
Happiness was admired, desired.
He was revered, cherished.
Forgotten was the day he perished.
