• Description: Can’t quite describe this poem… The desire to eliminate loneliness can’t be found in the usual places, and escape from life cannot be found because of a realization of its cruel detriment.

Among the populace, alone.
Bound by the chains of need
Tethered to the intolerable masses
Impersonal cruelty…

Among my peers, alone.
Bound to the brick and mortar by law
Tethered by a hopeless future
Impossible expectations…

Among my friends, alone.
Bound by bonds of friendship
Tethered to an obligation to preserve others happiness
Incalculable love…
