You Were Never There
I came to you like a cold breeze,
You left me feeling like a foreign disease.
Did I do something wrong?
Why do you always leave me feeling like a sad song?
Once there was a time when I thought things would work,
But you left me here feeling like a worthless jerk.
I tried to be happy, but you would always bring me down.
You always knew how to turn my smile into a frown.
Giving up early is what I should have done,
You were the darkness and I was the sun.
Eventually the sun would explode,
Tearing me apart, turning me into an ugly toad.
And just think, once I thought you would always be there.
But I was wrong, because you never really cared.

- How depressing. But, at least we have some pretty words out of it, right? It's pretty good.
