The tower stood tall on that September day
Busy with people who worked for their pay.
Children nearby playing jump rope and such
The loser of the game, not liking it much.
From out of the sky, so blue and calm
Flew the planes to the towers, just like a bomb.
Not many survived that day of disaster
Many went on to the great hereafter.

- Title: Ode to the Fallen
- Artist: Gold Dragonrider Menolly
- Description: I was entering a piece in a poetry game where you have to use the words left by the person above you and this is how those 5 words inspired me. I was living in Maryland when the planes crashed into the towers and the Pentagon and I remember that day vividly. We watched the television at work as the second plane flew into the tower and we could not believe what we were seeing. This is in memory of those who died that day.

I don't think "noshouting" has a clue what this is about... But ok
I think it was really good. It was well written. The only flaw I see with it is that the beats 3rd couplet were off. You have to remember to keep the beats(Syllables) per line matching in a way that won't breka the rhyme scheme. But other than that, it was great. - Report As Spam
