Forbidden Love
What is love if not overcoming strife?
The passion of holding you in my arms
To be with the one so dear to my life
I am seduced by your cute, childish charms.
But our pure love is but a wishful dream
A shadow hangs over our entwining hands
And not mine is this frightful, evil being
This specter terror hangs over these lands.
Forbidden is our love by your brother
But in my heart it is very alive
So long as we stay true to each other
My heart is yours so long as I strive.
You are my one true love, though hope’s long gone
Dear Locke, you are mine past the break of dawn.
- Title: Forbidden Love
- Artist: Farch
- Description: ...I need to submit something other than poems. I'm not a poet, dang it! >_< Anyways, this particular poem is set from the perspective of one of my characters (A male, by the way). It's not 100% clear if you don't know the situation, but I think it's still pretty okay.
