Bruised, battered and full of holes
There's a girl, barely 21
There are no dances left
Nevermind, she's forgotten how to waltz
She's a pile in a corner of a blackened room
Metallic blood over the walls and her clothes
Your loaded words projectiles in her flesh
Her forgiveness lingers in the aftershock for you
Trying to earn your trust to know you better,
she ended up losing a part of herself each try
She's given all she's got;
hollowed drift wood
She's no fool
She's knows she's losing and doesn't care
She'll be damned if she goes out without a fight
Dripping red and shattered black
she'll stand for you though she knows she won't last
She won't come dancing tonight
