I’m just another face in this standing morgue of a crowd,
Just another kid who wants to rule the world,
No explanations, no expectations in this quiet riot loud,
I’m just another foolish dreamer in a worn out place in time,
As the ageing faces pass me so sublime,
This place isn’t meant for the lucid dreamers,
I’m a lost child in a grown up world,
With plotters and cons and the twisted schemers,
This is no place for me,
As I wonder a vast and lonely sea,
Lost in the crowd looking for the right reflection,
In which my eyes can see perfection,
With the dogs hot on my trail and the handcuffs on my wrists,
As my life turns and twists,
With what I can find to be mine,
Is what is left undefined,
This is an endless sea of dead emotion,
With the black jester smiling his sinful grin,
And as the courts cause such a commotion,
Let the world come to realise,
What is hidden in front of their eyes,
This cant be the right place this cant be home,
From the farthest corners of the world I have travelled,
The winding path I have come to roam,
Is the path of a stranger in distress trying to make their way,
As I carelessly stumble from drunken night to day,
Lost in the crowd looking for the right reflection,
In which my eyes can see perfection,
With the dogs on my trail and the handcuffs on my wrists,
As my life brutally turns and twists,
With what I can find to be mine,
Is what is left undefined,
Finding the right fit is never easy for someone like me,
As crowds gather and cliques sneer,
Why won’t their snarling let me be?
And as the road goes on and my life takes a turn,
This life has no saviours as I will learn,
This is my new found Humanity the lost child on the edge of insanity,
Now here comes the bells taunting my song,
And to my superiors I may sound wrong,
But lets hear them suppress the songs of a thousand birds,
Now lets hear them ignore our last words,
Lets hear the wind howl and the flag wave high,
As our hopes and dreams seem to fly by,
Lets give in to the man with power,
Who swaggers taller than the tallest tower,
And who tells us to be wary of where we treed,
Or so the gospels may have said,
Lost in the crowd looking for the right reflection,
In which my eyes can see perfection,
With the dogs on my trail and the handcuffs on my wrists,
As my life brutally turns and twists,
With what I can find to be mine,
Is what is left undefined,
