Look in the mirror, step on the scale,
Oh no, you're a whale!
Shove your fingers down your throat,
Repeat 'til the gagging skips a note.
Your mind switches off for this part,
You'll soon forget the taste of acid tart.
A month goes by, you're on the mend,
But don't want this love to come to a bitter end.
Just once more,
And you'll put an end to this gore.
How convenient, you've gained a pound,
Time again to hear that unvoiced sound.
Five months have passed,
With this disease you have not cast.
Now you realize this is more than a habit,
You may never be able to bury this hatchet.

Description:
A poem I did for class about Bulimia, we had to choose a disease or illness. =)
Please, no stupid comments.
This is my first arena entry, ever.
I do know what it's like, I've been there, I've struggled with Bulimia Nervosa for three years now.
Don't be concerned, I am going to a counselor and I have weekly meetings with my doctor, and am in recovery.
Also, if you're gonna give me a crappy vote, at least have the courage to tell me why, or give me some help as to what I can improve on. - Date: 11/13/2008

- This sounds just like me; I will quit, I will! Then I gain a pound and I take those words back....

it's good. I would like to see a little stricter rhythmic control, but other than that, it's really beautiful.
It caught me and it's something I would doodle on my school books. ^^ well done! xx - Report As Spam
