I'm laying six feet under the ground,
and the stars don't weigh a pound.
This is the freest I'll ever be,
so make a zombie out of me.
I've got nerve damage on every surface.
Don't try to wake me, there's no purpose.
But you could join me if you like,
just rest your heart upon this spike.
Two frozen hands clasped together,
chained down in this sea of forever.
Voiceless faces rushing past,
but none of them will last.
The colors fading into black,
but our shades of grey are left intact.
We could live inside this night,
and paint it colors that seem right.
The light comes creeping back,
but our shades of grey are left intact.
