Best Friends.

I thought you meant it when you said we'd be friends forever.
I believed you and look, we're no longer together.
I shared my problems with you.
I guess I didn't have a clue.
I was always there, supporting you.
I looked at you while you grew.
I heard you say ''Screw you.''
I didn't think you really meant it.
I then heard you say ''We're not friend any longer.''
I didn't want this to happen, not while I thought we were getting stronger.

So, here I sit alone.
All on my own.
Missing our chats.
We were no longer the happy brats.
And we were no longer Best Friends Forever.
I knew I should have been more clever.
However.
It's for the best.
I'll keep the pain inside my chest.
