Running away is not as hard as I thought it would be.
I'm running and looking, the whole world's open to me.
No longer must I whisper my thoughts.
I'm free to think and speak and be in any one spot.
Nobody judges me here, I'm free
from people who expect too much of me.
Running away from those I depise
Running from those who feel likewise
Running from those who don't know me
Away from those who don't really see
who I am on the inside, only on the out
who don't really know what I'm all about.
I start running, I'm taking a stand
then I see your face as you reach for my hand.

- Title: Running
- Artist: whitejade13
- Description: When I wrote this I was feeling sad, lonely, and angry. I felt like running away. But with the help of a friend, I stayed. Now i'm not as sad and lonely but my anger never fully goes away.

- I love this poem, excellent conjugation of words that string together very well, slightly confusing on the final 2 lines but over all 5/5 smile

Everyone has a sense of style while doing anything in anyway, or in this case in any form of art. It doesn't mean they're sad, lonely, or depressed. Poetry should be understood for it's beauty, if it gives you the feelin of being sad, lonely, or depressed then you should know that the poet has done their job. In this case this poem surrounds sadness, but that doesn't mean that all poems are sad. You only see them as being depressing. smile - Report As Spam
