-
You see the flame in his eyes,
growing cold knowing that he is close.
You reminded him that he is going to be okay,
even though the thought leaves you knowing that he isn't.
Everyone hopes for him to live,
but as you stand there,
feeling like you are a puppet on strings,
wishing that he doesn't.
Seeing him,
makes you think of his brother,
wanting to take your anger out on him.
The pain from your thoughts leave you crying,
knowing that you love him too much.
You leave him to his grave,
where everyone in white tries to be the Angels of Life.
You wait for weeks for an answer,
about him.
When your own mother finally tells you,
"He didn't make it...",
makes you feel like shattered glass from the inside.
You remember the morning of falling snow,
to see the lights up,
and your baby brother scream in excitement.
That was a day to never forget,
but as now,
you are filled with regret and sorrow for that days passing.
Shall you never see his funeral,
nor him again,
to wishing that you never had those thoughts towards him.

Description:
This is a big deal to me, because my Uncle Eddy had died Chirstmas morning and I didn't find out until' today(January 1st, 2009). I wrote this piece for him, even though this isn't a good way to start out for a new year for me. My uncle is my first family member that had died in my life time, and I now know how people feel when a family had died. I hope he finds a place that he can call heaven.
Note:
By the way, in my writing, when I refrence my uncle's brother, that is my father. - Date: 01/01/2009
