There's a little boy down bleow
Sitting on the non-existant floor
In a non-existant room
On top of the non-existant world
He draws a circle of gasoline all around
Takes out a match
And lit his whole world on fire
This is my holy ground, he says
This is my shelter, he says
This is my blessing, he says
And he sits in his circle of flames
Warm, satisfied, content
Now I'm perfectly safe, he thinks
Nothing can penetrate my walls of flame
And harm is nowhere near my sight
The little boy falls asleep in the warmth
he wakes up and the flame is licking the sky
He then begins to panic
I must find an exit, he says
I must find a way out, he says
I must leave my shelter, he says
But the flames all around are taller than his head,
Scolding his tender young hands
There is no exit; there is no way out
There's an old man down below
Sitting on the non-existant floor
In a non-existant room
On top of the non-existant world
there's a circle of fire around him;
the flames taller than his ancient head
I have to get out, he says
I must escape, he says
This is my holy ground, he says
This is my shelter, he says
This is my blessing, he says
This is my curse.
