Branches over water.
Droplets of morning dew collect, embellishing foliage.
The dawn light reflects as too many congregate on a leaf.
A large crystal pearl drops into the still pool waiting below.
A small splash sounds.
Ripples of the disturbance flow outward.
Calico koi swim to the top to investigate from under the lilies.
They circle the pond as the first songbird sings sorrowfully.

Yes, I can see the Walt Whitman relationship too. It's a very nice nature poem, and gives me a break when reading many relationship ones.
Fantastic imagery, mature. beautiful, yet sorrowful, which I love.
